Hermione was so happy to be back with her parents. As soon as she arrived at King's Cross station, platform nine and three-quarters, her mother came at her faster than a hungry cheetah chasing a gazelle, embracing Hermione in her arms.
"Oh goodness! I'm so glad my baby girl is okay!" Mrs. Granger cried. "We were so worried when we got the letter from Professor McGonagall, telling us that you were in the hospital! I'm just so glad you're not harmed!"
Mr. Granger walked up to the two, wrapping his arms around them both, bringing them both into a warm embrace.
"I missed you two too," Hermione managed to say into her mother's shoulder, the sound being muffled because the three were hugging so tightly. Mr. Granger let go and Hermione smiled at her parents.
"You wouldn't believe what happened this year! It was so scary, but so amazing! I'll tell you everything in the car!" Hermione said excitedly.
On the way back to their home in London, which was not too far from the station, Hermione excitedly explained the happenings of the past year. How she made a perfect Polyjuice Potion, skipping the part about her turning into part cat, trying to figure out who the Heir of Slytherin was. She also told how she figured everything out, and got petrified, and how her cleaver friends had solved it all. She was especially impressed that her two friends, Harry and Ron, had managed to figure it out without her. She finally ended on how she was able to get unpetrified and at the last moment save her grades and still come on top with the best grades.
As she told them all of this her parents looked at her in awe, impressed with how clever their child is, but scared about the dangerous things that the world she was apart of got her into. Hermione assured them that all will be better with Professor Dumbledore being back to protect the school. They were comforted by this, and although they feared to let their little girl go back to Hogwarts, they respected her enough to know that she could make her own decisions.
At dinner time, when Hermione came downstairs, her parents beamed at her.
"We have a surprise for you," Mr. Granger smiled.
He passed her a vanilla envelope, that she opened revealing three tickets to France. She looked up at the two, whose smiles had grown even bigger than what they already were.
"We're going to France?" she said, hardly controlling her excitement.
    They both nodded, smiling.
"We wanted to do something special with you," Mr. Granger smiled.
Hermione leaped up from her chair and hugged both of her parents.

Hermione kept up with the wizarding world through weekly Daily Prophet posts.
By the time Harry's Birthday came around Hermione ordered a Broomstick Servicing Kit that she saw on an advertisement on the Daily Prophet. She wasn't sure how she's get it to him, but she wanted to get him something.
France was very interesting, and Hermione had finished all of the homework she had been assigned within the first week. Ron wrote her and she saw in the paper that the Weasley's had won the Grand Prize Galleon Draw. They chose to go to Egypt and Hermione was quite envious.
Two days before Harry's birthday, a large snowy owl appeared at her window. Hermione immediately recognized it as Harry's owl, Hedwig. She realized that the bird probably didn't want Harry to not have a present for his birthday. Hermione immediately gave the owl a treat and quickly scrawled a note and strapped the present and note to the owl and the owl was off.
Hermione couldn't wait to see her friends the last week of the holiday, and then go back to Hogwarts.

When Draco arrived home from Hogwarts, it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. His father didn't have time to scold him for his grades, because he was too busy with other problems. Dumbledore was allowed back at the school and Mr. Malfoy didn't know what to do next to make him resign. On top of that the Malfoy's family house elf was accidentally let free by Mr. Malfoy, and now the family needed to find a new one.
Draco was happy to be back with his mother, she was one of the only people that made him feel special. He was her little boy, and she loved to spoil him.
A few weeks later while sitting at the breakfast table Draco's father broke the silence with some interesting news.
"Would you look at this Narcrissa! Draco! Look here! Muggle loving Weasley finally got his hands on some money." Mr. Malfoy sneered pointing at a newspaper article.
Mrs. Malfoy and Draco scurried their way around the table to stand behind Mr. Malfoy, peeping over his shoulder. The article read:
