Dear Anastasia,
I hope you're having a wonderful summer so far!
I know that the end of the year happened so fast and we were unable to say goodbye. Though, I suppose goodbye would not be appropriate as it is not really goodbye after all. Nonetheless, I hope the first week of summer is treating you well.
I wanted to tell you something hilarious that happened on the train ride home. I was following my friends back to our compartment and we ran into Malfoy and company. He insulted Harry so we transfigured them into slimy slugs!
Your friend,
Hannah

Dear Hannah,
I was fortunate enough to be able to help remove the slug spell from Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle. Pansy Parkinson threw an absolute fit when she saw what had happened to her 'boyfriend' upon discovering them. My good friends Theodore and Blaise also helped us work it out. Hilarious is most definitely the correct term, they all deserved that.
As for the goodbye, you are also correct there. We will see each other again next school year and, who knows, may even have Charms together again. I really enjoyed becoming your friend through that class.
Yours sincerely,
Anastasia

Dear Anastasia,
I hope that my friends did not offend you Slytherins with the slug incident, we were only protecting Harry. Dumbledore's Army remains strong to defend him against any threats.
I hope you do not view this as House Prejudice. No one could represent Slytherin better than you and I quite enjoyed becoming your friend as well.
Perhaps you would consider joining the Army? Not many Slytherins have pledged, but I think you would be a fantastic addition to our group.
How are you planning to spend your summer? With your family and friends as well?
Your friend,
Hannah

Dear Hannah,
It did not offend me one bit, in fact, I stand by my claim that they deserved it. I also do not view it has House Prejudice.
As far as joining the famed Dumbledore's Army, I think I might in the future. You know as well as anyone that I am often times anxious and fearful of scenarios like that, especially with the dire consequences you and the Army suffered at the hands of Professor Umbridge. I suppose only time will tell if I join.
For summer plans, I imagine it will be quiet over here,
Sincerely,
Anastasia

Dear Anastasia,
Oh, good! Glad that I did not upset you!
I do hope that you will become part of us, I can only hope that we will be more discreet so as to avoid detentions and possible expulsions.
As for your nerves, I cannot say that I understand to try and write it off like it is nothing. If there is anyway I can help you or anything I can learn to understand how you manage it, please let me know so I can help you feel less alone.
Hope the quiet days of yours are peaceful,
Sincerely,
Hannah

Dear Hannah,
It really means a lot to hear, or rather, read what you discussed in your previous letter. This is a difficult thing to deal with on a daily basis. Luckily, my grandparents have good medical care so I am in good hands over the summer and each break we are granted from school.
Helping you to understand by ways of a letter may prove tricky, though I will do my absolute best.
The brain has certain chemicals when balanced properly help it function well. Mine are at an imbalance which leads to the anxiety attacks.
Yours sincerely,
Anastasia

Dear Anastasia,
I must say that you are very brave for opening up to me like this. That is what friends are for, are they not? I can assure you that this is all safe with me.
I can tell you with great certainty that you are not alone. My mother suffers from the same issue of the imbalance of chemicals. I see her fight if everyday. Please do not hesitate to reach out, especially when we are back at school together, for any help. It is not a sign of weakness.
Do take time to care for yourself,
Hannah

Dear Hannah,
I hope this letter reaches you and is still legible. I feel as though a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, but I did end up crying tears of joy. I fear that I smattered the parchment greatly.
I am taking care of myself as the months slowly pass, not to worry. Though I do hope you are as well and that your mother can find a light in this darkness, too. All your kind words are like the stars in the sky to guide me through the night.
Cannot wait to see you very soon,
Anastasia

Dear Anastasia,
I was able to read your last letter just fine! I am also very glad to hear you're doing so well. Mental health is just as important as physical health.
My mother is well, currently. She has her days, but mostly she is pulling through just fine.
I celebrated the end of summer with seeing a movie called Hamlet that was based off a Muggle author named William Shakespeare. Perhaps you have heard of him? Susan, Ernie, Zach, and myself enjoyed it a lot and I imagine you would as well!
See you on the Hogwarts Express,
Hannah

Dear Hannah,
Very good news about your mother. Sounds as though there will be many happy days for her, and I, to come.
William Shakespeare, you say? Interesting name for anyone. I have never read any of his plays, but I have heard the name once or twice. Apparently, he was one of the greatest playwright who ever lived.
I am quite eager to see you again and start the new term together. Maybe Susan will come around to my presence one day, hopefully!
I had a peaceful ending to my summer, see you tomorrow!
Lots of love,
Anastasia Dorhn
