Chapter 8:The Sudden Change

Third Person P.O.V (Point Of View)

*~~10 Weeks Later~~*

"It's pretty good that Loki's all healed up isn't it?"Bruce said as he rounded the corner to the lounge and leaned against the kitchen counter next to Tony,
"Yeah....but don't you think somethings changed? like he's avoiding everybody and he acts so cold as well....but he somehow acts different around Thor.
I mean yeah of course he's still rude but a different kind of rude..
Do you get what I'm saying?"Tony asked whilst grabbing a bottle of wine, "I mean...I'm sort of the wrong person to ask considering I don't hang around him much..."Bruce replied.

"Ehh I guess"Tony opened the wine bottle and took a big guzzle,
"Woah Tony easy on the drink"Natasha appeared and sat down on the couch.
"You finished with your daily missions already Nat?"Tony asked and poured some wine into a wine glass and gave it to Natasha,
Their last feud 10 weeks ago was quickly resolved thanks to the Captain. "Thanks,and yes,it's not really missions anymore.It's more of just a clean up of the wreckage's...."Natasha gently swirled her drink around and had a sip.

"Wine? what's the occasion"Clint asked whilst entering the lounge, "Damn,what's with today? everyones here-"Tony got interrupted by Bruce,
"Except for the thunder god..."He said quietly,Tony frowned and opened his mouth to say something when a booming voice entered the lounge, "Ahh Friends! Tis such a wonderful morning today isn't it?"Thor boomed and walked over to the fridge to get some leftover jelly,
he was about to dig in when a familiar voice spoke.

"Oh Thor,it is only morning and you are already about to devour the dessert?
Hmmph what a stupendous decision"Loki rolled his eyes.

All of the Avengers gazed at Loki,
"Hmm? what is it? is my godly presence too much for you mortals?"Loki smirked at them and proceeded to grab a bowl of cereal,
"Loki, we do have names you know"Bruce said carefully,fearful that the god might get angry,
"Oh yes I know.I just don't want to say those pathetic excuse of those names,might get dirt on my tongue if I did" Loki gave him a smug grin and proceeded on getting his cereal finished.

"Yeah? Well you'll get dirt on that damn tongue of yours anyway! I'll show you!"Clint growled angrily and stood up,
He walked over to Loki,who,was very entertained on what was happening,
"Ahh Allfather save me! A mortal has scared the God out of me!!"Loki sarcastically cried out.

"Your pathetic threats have no use against me"Loki smirked at Clint,who,was very angry,
"I'LL GET Y-"Clint yelled but quickly got cut off,
"THE only thing YOU will do CLINT is to get out of the lounge and take a breather"Steve spoke calmly.

"B-But-"Clint wanted to argue but was quickly shot down,
"NOW!"Steve hissed and pointed at the doorway,
Clint gave one last glare to Loki and stormed out of the room.

"Well well weell..he was rather upset.."Loki spoke after a moment of awkward silence,
Steve turned around and walked up to Loki,
"And YOU! have to fix your attitude"Steve said sternly.

Loki leaned closer to Steve till they were but inches apart,
this made the whole room stunned with silence,
"I'm..."Loki spoke quietly so that only Steve could hear him,
"Not under your command Captain.
In fact I'm in nobody's command..."Loki dared to inch a little bit closer,
Steve was now getting uncomfortable and Loki knew this,
Loki used this to his advantage, "But...maybe you want to be in my command?"Loki questioned,
"I-I uh"Steve stuttered but Loki intervened,
"Ah ah ah....hush....Take a step back or else I will kiss you..."Loki licked his lips,Steve blushed.

"I-I u-uhm"Steve stuttered,
Loki leaned forward to his ear "Boo"

"Bahhh!!"Steve stumbled backwards and fell on the floor,
"Pfft hahaha Oh Captain,
Did you really think that I would kiss you? I do have standards you know"Loki laughed loudly then exited out of the room.
"D-Did I just get Loki'd?"Steve said still shocked from what happened, "Unfortunately yes....you have been Loki'd"Bruce said with a chuckle.

"HAHAHAHA OH MY GOD! YOU REALLY THOUGHT LOKI WAS GONNA KISS YOU? OH MY GOD HAHAHA"Tony stumbled backwards onto the kitchen counter and laughed til his eyes were watering,
Steve blushed a bright red and quickly scrambled to his feet and bolted out of the room.
"Well....that was something...I'm outta here! I still gotta do some paperwork"Tony stretched then left the room.

"I shall get going as well....Lady Natasha! Care to spar with me?"Thor looked, awaiting her response.
Natasha gulped down all the wine and put the wineglass on the coffee table,
"Sure,why not?"And with that Natasha and Thor left the room leaving Bruce by himself.

'Maybe I should cook something'Bruce thought for a moment then bent down to grab a pot.
As soon as Bruce popped back Loki was in the room,Loki seemed to not notice Bruce was in the room.

Loki was holding....a book? Bruce thought puzzled but shook his head,it wasnt really quite unusual for Loki to he reading books.
"Those mortals..I know their thoughts..
That I'm just thoughtless,cold,utmost terrible god who cares for absolutely no one,
and who is so ice cold that I had no one.
I-I that...I wanted that...."Loki spoke,to no one in particular.

Bruce was hooked,he didnt mean to eavesdrop but Loki's voice was very enchanting.
He intently looked at Loki,still hidden of course.
Loki began to have tears gently rolling down his cheeks which stained the book "But why do I feel like this? Why am I not satisfied?! Isnt this what I wanted? Wasnt this my plan?!
Yet why do I feel so..so alone?! Do I even dare complain?"Loki paused for a moment,
"Do I always have to be the bad guy? The outsider? What is it like to be a hero?"
Loki was quiet for a moment and let all the silent tears fall down.

Loki shook his head violently and slapped himself hard on the face,
"LOKI! Stop with this ridiculousness! All your selfish thoughts are nothing more than a mere laugh" Loki scolded himself harshly then opened his book,
He quietly said some words in another language.

Suddenly,a green glowing knife appeared,
"This was not what I was expecting...but this will do..."Loki shut the book and grabbed the knife,
Loki drew the knife near his arm but was quickly interrupted by Bruce, whom already snatched the knife away.

"L-LOKI! W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"Bruce yelled angrily,
Loki was shocked,he then started questioning himself,
'When did Bruce get here?' 'Why did I not sense him?'

For the first time Loki was speechless,he was too shocked to speak,
Since when was he not able to sense people?
"S-Self harm....you were about to cut yourself weren't you?"Bruce spoke softer this time,
"Ah...Doctor Banner,Wanting to join me now? but please do get your own knife.
That one is mine"Loki smirked and pointed to the knife Bruce was tightly holding.

"N-NO! Loki!
You don't have to be like this.."Bruce pointed to the knife to which Loki just laughed,
"Oh Banner...I have done far worse"Loki said nonchalantly and sighed,
He seemed to be bored with the conversation already.

"Loki..I will be your friend.
I can fix you and help you if you just let m-"Bruce was interrupted by Loki's bitter laughter,
"Haaaah Doctor Banner you entertain me...
There is nothing left to fix for I am far too broken to be repaired.."Loki chuckled but there was sadness in his voice,
Loki quickly changed expressions as if he was letting his guard down too much,
He grabbed his book and stood up to leave.

When he got in the doorway he looked back at Bruce one last time,
"I was...and I still am...and forever will be a broken,twisted and psychopathic God that everyone will despise,
and no one...not even the greatest gods can help me now" Loki smiled weakly than quickly left lounge.
Bruce took a deep sigh,
"Ughh...Loki..." Was all he could manage to say.

Annd chapter 8 finished!!! oh by the way I was on holiday,that's why I was able to upload tons of chapters but sadly the holidays are finishing.Going back to school tomorrow..yaaay...not.Anyways Comment,Vote and don't complain about my errors until then See you in the next chapter!
