Chapter 13:The start of a bad week

Tears rushed down my face as I stumbled my way through the forest,
What in the name of the gods was I doing?!

I stopped slowly and leaned against the tree,
Why? Why did I say all that unnecessary garbage to Thor?! Everything was going fine!  Well bloody done Loki! Way to kill off every chance you get at getting along with anyone..

I bit my lip and clenched my fists,
"Hah...I'm pathetic.."I mumbled quietly,
"Hm? Loki?? Is that you?"

I quickly stood up and looked around,
Clint?!
Why did I not sense him?? Why was he even here?! Out of all the places why did we encounter in this bit of the forest?!
"Woah..you okay?"He cautiously came closer,
"I-uh..I'm fi-fine..Leave me alone please"I stuttered whilst still trying to get my tears off my face.

Clint's gaze grew softer and approached me confidently,I took steps back,
What in the gods was this  mortal doing?
Clint laughed suddenly,
"Why are you so afraid of people? Aren't we the ones who are supposed to be scared of you?"He smiled softly,
Hmph..he did...have a point.

"Well! I was never really one to be able to listen to others very well..so! How bout taking a walk?"He suggested excitedly,
I rolled my eyes,"That's what I've been doing these past couple of minutes"I said bitterly and paused to see his smile slowly fade away;
I smirked,"-But I guess walking a couple of miles wont hurt a god now would it?"I chuckled and walked towards Clint.

"So where do we go now arrow man?"
Clint's face turned a shade of pink and his eyes sparkled,
"We-well..I have a place in mind"He coughed awkwardly and finally faced me with a smile,
"Follow me and keep up yeah?"

And with that he bolted through the forest,
Hmph.."Walking" he said..
I licked my lips and began sprinting,I always liked a good challenge anyway!
I was never strong but I was agile..in some way at least.

Clint turned ever so slightly and smirked,
Hm? How cocky..
"Don't get too ahead of yourself arrow man"I yelled loudly before teleporting in front of him,
I looked back and smiled,
He rolled his eyes and slowly came to a stop.

"Hey genius! The place I wanted to show you is right over here!"He yelled whilst laughing,
My running soon came to a stop,
"O-oh..I uh..knew that"I tried saying through deep breathes,I was panting like crazy.

"Hm? Tired already my liege?"Clint smirked,
My face quickly heated up,
Out of embarrassment? Humiliation? Or perhaps I was exhausted from sprinting?
Either way my face turned pink.

"*Sigh* C'mere" Clint extended his hand towards me,
Part of me was relieved,I finally had a hand to lead me,
I quickly walked forward to grab it when a certain thought came across my head.

Are you seriously gonna take his hand Loki? Hmph! How pathetic of you,Cant you even care for yourself?How lowly of a God..seems like the All Father's decision in making Thor king was the right choice after all...

I bit the inside of my cheek hard until I tasted blood,
I quickly pulled my hand back and crossed my arms,
"So uh-wh-where's the way?"
Clint looked saddened and awkwardly placed his hand down,
"Er...Follow me"

Clint suddenly opened a door looking object off the tree to which revealed a hole,
"Just through here"
I looked at him suspiciously,who in their right mind would trust him in this situation?
He rolled his eyes,
"It's fine I promise I'm not doing anything bad!"He gave me a solemn look.
