Her eyes haunt my mind,
Her voice follows me forever,
The memory of her arms warms me at night,
But she will not return, not ever.
A long lonely stretch of road,
A bright sunny day,
A picnic amongst the trees,
The memory will never go away,
Happiness is loving someone,
Having someone near,
I will never have her back again,
Her voice I will never hear.
Her eyes haunt my mind,
Her laughter circles through my thoughts,
The day I lost her will never shine,
Her life was just too short.
She ran in front laughing,
We lost her in the trees,
Then a screeching and a crashing,
Told us what we did not see.
A long stretch of road no longer lonely,
Noise and voices everywhere,
She slept in my arms and left me,
I still feel as though I am there.
Happiness is loving someone,
Having someone near,
I will never have her back again,
Her voice I will never hear.
