A few words of welcome to those arriving soon,
Two darling babies who'll think you're the moon,
They'll gurgle and burble and giggle and smile,
They'll wriggle when tickled and you'll feel warm for a while.
When they're asleep then so should you be,
Coz with twins, one never will be!
When one cries, so will the other,
(or so I have been told by another twin mother!)
Sleep when they do, Eat all you can,
Tired is something against which you can plan,
Enjoy the baths and feeding at night,
Try not to care if you look a fright,
Most of all love them one day at a time,
The memories you will carry should always shine,
You have two sweet babies to hold and to snuggle,
But believe me, the next year will be all of a muddle!
