It seems endless. I'm fidgeting in my chair. We must have been here for hours. I need to see her. My knee is bouncing up and down. I take a deep breath.

After what seems years, a women in blue scrubs enters the waiting room.

"You can see her now. Follow me please."

We all jump up from our chairs and let her lead us to Y/N's room.

The nurse knocks lightly before turning the knob and entering.

Y/N is sitting up in her hospital bed, eyes wide open with a smile plastered on her face.

We all enthusiastically come up to her and hug her one at a time.

After a while her she pleads with her parents with her eyes and they exit, leaving us five alone.

"How much do they know?" I ask right away.

"Everything." She says.

"They believed you when they told you?" Dustin asks.

"They already knew. Turns out they were hot on our trail the whole time with the police and Chief Hopper. They told me all about it."

"So when can you leave?" Will asks.

"Tomorrow at eleven ." She says.

"After school we'll do something for the start of summer?" Lucas asks.

She nods. "Looking forward to it."

"Anything we can do now?" I ask.

"No, not really, but thanks. I just want something to eat. I haven't eaten in like...a week." She says.

"I would die." Dustin mutters.

Y/N flashes a smile in his direction while I ask:
"They didn't give you anything to eat?"

"No, they were more focused on, you know, keeping me alive."

"What was wrong anyway?"

"I guess I was already weak from the upside down and the trip back kind of disoriented me or something. I'm good now though."

"Good." Will says happily.

My watch beeps. 11:45.

"Come on guys." I nudge Dustin's shoulder and we all make our way through the sea of students rushing to their lockers. We have an early dismissal on the last day.

Once we all have our things from our lockers, we cram them in our backpacks and ride to Y/N's.

Will pounds on her door. She opens it immediately and smiles wide.

"Ready?" We we're going to the pool. I owed her a trip to the pool anyway.

She picks up her bike waiting for her and follows us to the pool.

Once we stack our bikes on the rack we enter the pool excitedly.

We all dash into the bathrooms to change into our bathing suits. Since we beat the crowd of students, there's not many people here yet.
