You're hit with a pillow.

"Get up, holy shit." Dustin rolls his eyes.

You groan. "Ehh..."

"Guys..pancakes!" Lucas yells from upstairs.

Suddenly you're wide awake.

"Coming!" you yell as you follow Dustin up the stairs.

"Alright, where's my food?" Dustin asks.

"On the table, keep your pants on." Mike says.

"Aw, yes." Dustin says as he inhales his food.

You snort and sit down at the table with everything else.

When you're finished, you clean up and sit down to watch TV. Mike accidentally turns it on to the weather channel.

"Ugh, change it now." Lucas says.

"Wait, wait, don't." you say as Mike reaches to switch the channel.

"Why?" he asks.

"shh, shh shut up." you say quickly

"...So despite our previous predictions, the storm will be clearing up in about an hour. The sun should be shining soon." Then it cut to a commercial.

"Sweet," Mike says.

As he flips through the channels, you get up and peer through the window.

Besides the puddles, which are almost completely dry, it's almost as if the storm never happened. The sun is already out, there are birds chirping, and the sky is blue. It's April in December.

"Aw man it's Sunday, we still have school tomorrow." Will sighs.

"Oh my God." Dustin whispers.

"What?" you ask.

"Oh my God." he repeats, running a hand through his hair.

"What?" you repeat, kind of concerned. "Did you die?"

"Lucas, Will, that means our English project is due tomorrow!"

"SHIT!" Lucas exclaims, jumping up off the couch.

"How far are we?" Will asks. "Are we almost done?"

"We barely even started!" Dustin answers.

"Oh, we gotta go. Now. Sorry guys, but see you." Lucas says.

Five minutes later, Dustin, Lucas, and Will have their things and are out the door.

"Bye guys!" you wave as they leave, "Try to pass!"

"Don't push it, Y/N!" Dustin yells, turning the corner.

"Too late buddy! Have fun!" you say.

You can hear Dustin groan in the distance as Mike snorts.

"So, now what?" you say. Wow, that's the best you got?

"I don't know," he starts. "Oh, I think I still need to take those pictures for our English class."

"Oh damn, me too." she says.

We were practicing how to accurately describe a place, and the feeling of actually being there. So we had a week to take five pictures each. Than this Monday we would swap pictures with the class and do our best to describe the ones we got.

"Okay, you wanna go to our tree and knock it out?

Our?

"Uh...yeah, sure." you reply, trying to take control of your thoughts.
