A//n: Hey nerdies! (I think I found our word :D yay) how you doing?

I'm doing pretty rubbishly at this whole 'write more' thing. I barely have any inspiration and I'm writing this at two minutes past midnight.

That says a lot.

Ugh, anyways, here's your words.

"Hey, Phil, I think we need to talk."

"Yeah, me too."

"You go first."

"No, you go first."

"No, no, you."

"No, you."

"No, you."

"Rock, paper, scissors?"

"K."

"1... 2...3..."

Their hands both showed scissors.

"Well that worked."

"Looks like we're saying it together."

"That sounds kind of awkward but so am I so ok, sure, let's do this."

"I don't think this is going to work out." Matt and Phil said at the same time.

"Well, at least we're on the same page, I guess."

They were sitting in a Costa, drinking coffee. They'd been there for around twenty minutes, trying to find a way to say what they felt.

"Yeah. We can still be friends though, right?"

"Of course! Who else would I randomly goout for coffee with when Dan's hibernating?"

They laughed.

"Do you know what we need?"

"What?"

"Alcohol."

"Agreed."

"There's a bar across the road."

"What a coincidence," He laughed.

"I know, right."

The bar

Matt and Phil sat on bar stools, drinking Jack Daniel's and vodka and lemonade.

The music was blaring so loudly, they could feel the room pulsing with each beat.

The floor was full of people dancing, together and alone.

The room smelt of sweat and alcohol.

At one point, a fight started because some guy thought some other guy was flirting with his girlfriend.

This is why I stay home with Dan. Much less drama.

They sat drinking and discusssing random thing for hours.

Like around midnight ish

Dan sat forlornly at the piano, tears forming in his eyes.

It had been a month since he and Phil had broken up, and he knew he should be over him by now, but he wasn't.

He didn't think he ever would be.

From his seat by the rain-streaked window in the flat they shared, he could see the bar Phil had taken his boyfriend, Matt.

He was glad that his best friend was happy, but couldn't help feeling a sliver of jealousy.

He knew it was his fault, but did it really not affect Phil at all?

He sighed and took a sip of his glass of wine.

He ran his fingers over the keys, tapping out a few random notes.

Playing a tune half-heartedly, he caught a glimpse of a tall figure in the moonlight.

As the figure passed by a streetlight (cue journey flashbacks), Dan realised who it was.

Phil looked up to the window, noticed Dan and waved, but received no response.

Phil soon got to the door and walked into the room, but Dan did not turn around.

Did you enjoy?

Will you miss Mil?

Do you want Phil and Matt to stay friends?

Let me know in pm or comment your opinion.
