Todoroki x Reader

(Y/N) P.O.V

Today was one of those days. You know, those days were you wake up in a bad mood, go to school with a fake smile on your face, walk home alone, go in your room and just sulk underneath the covers. Yeah...one of those days.

This morning was terrible. I woke up late, and had to rush to get to school. I didn't even get to eat breakfast, so my stomach was growling throughout all of my morning classes. Oh, and I ended up accidentally falling asleep in homeroom today to which Mr. Aizawa scolded me in front of the whole class from my 'childish' behavior.

Then in the afternoon, I finally got to eat lunch. But only a few bites because I had to run some errands for the teachers at school with Todoroki, to which you can tell he was in a good mood as he rambled on about how great his mom was doing. Which wasn't too bad really. But I wished I could've listened to him more, since I enjoy seeing my friends happy.

The after school, I was put on cleaning duty. I had to wipe down the desks, sweep the floor, organize the books, and lock up the classroom. I also had to walk home alone, since I was the last one left at school. Walking home alone is depressing, especially when I normally walk home with Todoroki, who had to leave early to visit his mom.

When I did get home, my dad had to leave for an emergency since all of the heroes were called to Harajuku for some reason he didn't write down. Now, I'm left in my room, hungry as hell, wanting to cry because of how shitty this day has been.

Deciding to get some fresh air, I change into a simple black tank-top with some black, ripped jeans, and my (f/c) sneakers I had gotten recently. I grabbed my phone just in case, and also the key to my house, heading downstairs and grabbing my leather jacket off the coat rack by the door.

Opening the door, I left the house and headed to the park nearby. It was dark outside, but it wasn't too late, otherwise I wouldn't have left.

Arriving at the park, I sat on a park bench near the swings, looking around at everything. The park was empty, no kids or teenagers were here. The sound of the wind howling could be heard as it was very quiet here.

Looking up, the stars shimmered across the dark blue sky, a few of them clustered together, and others spread out. It was a beautiful sight to see. Of course the park's huge lamps helped light up the park, making the stars more visible to anybody who would be here at this time.

Hearing footsteps, I looked over to see a familiar red, and white haired boy walking in this direction. He was wearing a dark blue shirt with some black jeans and his bag strapped across his body as he walked. He sat down next to me, leaning back on the bench, taking his bag off and placing it beside him.

"Why are you out at this time," he broke the silence in the air, looking up at the sky. "I've just been having such a bad day today. I needed some air," I spoke softly, not wanting to be too loud. I too looked up at the sky, admiring the stars. "I noticed something was wrong when we were running errands for the teachers. But I wasn't sure if you'd want to talk about it."

"It's nothing major. it's just one of those days were you wake up in a bad mood, and then everything ends up going wrong y'know?" I glanced over at him for a moment, seeing him nod his head.

"Yeah, we all have those days like that. But can I make your day better?" He sat up, looking in my direction. I did the same as well, curious as to what he meant by that. "Uh..sure ? But what exactly are you going to do ?"

The moment I said that, he grabbed my hand, interlocking our fingers together. A light shade of pink dusted onto my cheeks by his actions. Yet I didn't want to move my hand. I felt comfortable by his touch.

"Lean your head against my shoulder," he whispered. I nodded and complied, leaning my head against his shoulder, looking out at the swing sets in front of us. He leaned his head against mine, looking out as well.

"I visited my mom today," he struck up a new topic of conversation. "How did that go," I asked. A small smile creeped onto his face when I asked, assuming it went well. "She's doing much better now..seeing her smile and ask me about school makes me happy. You know my dad never asked me things like that. He only trained me, never really caring about how I felt." I listened to his words, feeling a bit sad by how his dad was.

"I can't really say I understand because I never met my mother. But my father trained me a lot as well. Which is why I'm here on recommendation. But he was never mean to me. Just strict. Since you and your dad aren't on good terms, why'd you agree to be an intern at his agency?"

"To learn more about my fire side. I don't like my dad. But he is number two hero in the world. He's the only person who can help me fully develop my skills," he answered rather quickly. I nodded my head slightly, understanding what he meant.

"Can we please change the subject. There is something I wanna ask you," Todoroki lifted his head, looking towards me. I lifted my head up as well, my gaze locked onto his. "Yes, ask me anything."

"Do you like me?" I blushed all shades of red, not really knowing how to answer that. Yes, he's extremely attractive, and such a caring person. But I never really thought much about dating him since I knew I never had a chance with someone like him. "Why do you ask," was all I was able to respond with, still taken a back by his question.

"I'm asking because I like you (y/n). I have since the day you walked in the classroom and introduced yourself. Not only are you cute, you're extremely powerful. Actually one of the most powerful kids in this school. You're also extremely intelligent like MoMo, maybe even smarter. When I noticed you were having a bad day, I wanted to do something but I couldn't. I also left early, so I couldn't even walk you home..."

"Well..I do like you. You're a kind and genuine person. You care about others now, and you too are also powerful and strong. You just keep improving as the weeks go by. But..yes, I do like you a lot actually."

Todoroki didn't say anything else. He brought his hand up, lifting my chin up with his index finger and thumb. His monochrome eyes looked into my (e/c) ones as he slowly moved his face closer towards mine. My eyes closed once our lips touched, my hand going up to cup his cheek lightly.

The kiss was a gentle one, his soft lips against mine's was magical. Something that I never experienced before. My first kiss was taken by someone I admired, and like. I'm ok with that, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

He pulled away slowly, our lips lingering for a moment as our eyes slowly fluttered open. He smiled slightly, grabbing my hand and standing up with me. "C'mon let's go back to my place. My dad isn't home, and I wanna do more..if that's ok with you," he asked nervously. I chuckled softly, standing up with him. "Promise to be gentle."

"I promise."
