Wednesday
She woke up yesterday, there was a lot of thrashing as she gutted one of the guards with her trident, Erik was pretty cool about it though, he gave her a wimpy smile while still clutching the stab wound as he was rushed back to the interior. He’ll live though, I’m more concerned about the girl actually. Ever since she stabbed Erik a lot of the drowned have been avoiding her. I think she feels a bit lonely, yesterday evening I caught her trying to make conversation with a guardian.
“How. . . how long have you been doing this for?” she asked.
“GRRNH” the guardian grunted in response and floated away. I think I’ll probably try talking to her, challenge her to a duel or something you know. . . casual sparring.Okay. She refused my challenge, I even offered to give up my trident you know. . . a handicap since she might not know how to use hers. She still refused, guess I’ll never understand women. Her name’s Carlene though, and since Erik’s gone she’s gonna have to stay on border patrol instead of rehab. We were patrolling the same area and out of common courtesy I offered to do her share of patrolling, since she was new to the entire scene. She just gave me one long icy stare before resuming her post. I don’t think we’ll be speaking for a while now. Talk about awkward jobs. I really can’t wait for the fighting to start, it’s far more comfortable than this awkward task of ‘conversation’ I mean who doesn’t like talking about the sound cracked bones make. . . I know Erik does. Either way, that’s it for today, got a long and arduous day to get through tomorrow. Bubble out
