A/n: I finally entered this story in the Wattys! After five chapters and hours if rewriting, i'm really excited to finish the first book of this series, maybe 20-30 chapters until i'm done. I'll release the first batch soon

Katie's POV:
The next morning I woke up with a horrible headache. I took some advil, and then, since it was finally Saturday, went to get Amanda.

I got dressed into a basic tank top and jeans, i'm definitely not dressing to impress, there's no point. I skipped the makeup and just put my hair up.

I went to Amanda's dorm, 10C, and Knocked on the door

"Hello?" She asked, then looked me in the eyes
"OH MY GOSHHH KATIE!!" She said pulling me into a hug
"Gosh I barely know you!" I said laughing, hugging her back.
"I know, it's been hard making friends." She said, looking down.
"Hey, it's our first week. I think you would like my roommate Cassie." I said, smiling.
"Anyway, why are you here?" She said, trying to change the topic
"Well, I wanted to go shopping with a fashion expert like you. I brought enough clothes for a few days, i've been re wearing." I said.
"Oh, well Let me get dressed and we can go!" She let me in and then went to the bathroom.
I sat on my phone and checked my instagram.

He tagged some girl. I checked her instagram and she just looked like me from the side.
katie___: idiot, that's me.

I posted the comment then turned off my phone as Amanda walked out, looking bomb (as usual)
"Wow, Goddess." I said laughing
She laughed a bit too and then said "are you ready?"
"Yeah, let me grab my phone."
I took my phone and shoved it into my jeans.
"My gosh your fashion is so-" she said, and i cut her off "today wasn't a tryhard day" i said.
I followed her to the mall right across the street from the campus.
"Wow... this mall is huge!" I said, my jaw dropping.
"I've come at least 4 times this week." She said laughing
My phone rang
shawn_mendesx: lol, oops. I tagged you instead.
I put it back in my pocket.
I followed Amanda to Forever 21, where she picked out like 12 shirts and pants for me to try on.
"Oh my!" I said, looking at the now stacked pile in the cart.
"Just try it on!"
I tried on different outfits and picked (the one above) a cute shirt and jeans combo. The shirt was an off-shoulder top.
"That's so cute!" Amanda said, and I twirled around.
"Thank you! I'll buy it." I said, and took it to the cashier
She rang it up in the machine
"42.80 please." She said
"Oh my gosh i'm so dumb. I forgot my wallet." I said, facepalming
"It's okay, I got it." A familiar voice said from behind me.
