How Did This Happen?

  I was suddenly woke up to the sound of knocking. When I woke up I realized I had fallen asleep on my couch. I check my phone for the time and realize I'm an hour late to work, I'll call in sick I think to myself. The sound of knocking brings me back to reality. I walk over to the door and open it only to be greeted by someone I hate.

     "Hello darling, I need to talk to you." My ex, Josh, says to me.
     "Go away! I told you I never want to see your or talk to you again." I yell at him.
     "Darling I'm here to ask for forgiveness and a second chance." He tries to say as sweet as possible but I can tell he is fuming.
     "No I will never forgive you. Get out of my life!" I yell at him and shut the door in his face. I lock the door and start sobbing as the memories come back to me.

Flashback:

*a year ago*
     "Morning babe, it's time for work." My boyfriend, Josh, says to me before kissing me.
     "Yea yea morning to you too, let me get dressed." I say to him after pulling away from him. I got dressed In my work attire and got in the car with Josh as we both headed to work. We both work at the arcade his family owns. I go into the break room and am surprised when arms wrap around me.

     "Josh, I told you no lovey dovey stuff at work." I say wiggling out of his arms. He holds me tighter and starts kissing the back of my neck.
     "Josh I said stop." I huff at him while succeeding at getting out of his grip. He grabs my wrist and pulls me close.
     "I'll stop when I want." He hisses in my ear. I go back to work and soon finish the day. When I get home Josh grabs me and pushes me against the wall.
     "You don't fight against me when I'm hugging you, understand." He growls into my ear.
     "But Josh y-you know we shouldn't do t-that at work." I say trying not to stutter.
     "I don't care what people think, you do as I say got it?" Josh hisses at me. I flinch back at his sudden aggressiveness.
     "Josh? W-what's wrong? T-there seems to be something wrong." I quietly say to him trying to calm him.
     "Nothing." He gruffly says.
     "Ok, then could you let me go?" I ask trying to break out of his grip.
     "No" he says blankly.
     "Josh let me go." I start fighting against him knowing it's useless because he's much stronger.
    "No!" He raises his voice at me. I keep trying to get out of his grasp when he raises his hand and smacks me.
    "I said you don't fight against me." He growls at me. I flinched away when he hit me and now I'm are terrified. Why would he do that?
     "J-Josh you n-need to calm d-down." I try to say as confidently as possible.
     "You don't tell me what to do." He raises his hand to smack me again when Liz walks in for the movie night we scheduled.

     "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING TO MY BESTFRIEND?!" Liz yells while running at Josh and punching him. It knocks him off of me and he just turns to face her, I can see the rage in his eyes. She quickly steps back realizing what she got herself into. While they are facing each other I run to grab a pan. When I come back Josh is lunging at Liz so I run and hit him with the pan. He's out cold. I start sobbing after I realize what happened. Liz runs over to me and starts comforting me, she then convinces me to go home with her.

End of flash back

*present day*
     I'm sitting on my floor crying when I hear I got a text. It's from Liz.

    Oof that's one of my longer chapters! Ok so that was WAY more dramatic than intended. Oops. So anyway if you have any suggestions or complaints or comments just tell me! I've been thinking... should I make this a (y/n) story? So like it's a Thomas Sangster x reader fanfic? Cuz i can go change it from 'Sky' to '(y/n)'. What are your thoughts?
