How Did This Happen?

How Did He...

         Liz
     Hey, are you ok?? Josh just came to my door asking me to talk to you for him... I shut the door on his face.
You
Yea I'm fine now, he just came by my house. I yelled at him to get out of my life and slammed the door.
Liz
     STAY RIGHT THERE. DONT MOVE.

     Liz said not to go anywhere, which was easy because I felt like staying in this one spot and dying. About 5 minutes later I heard my door burst open and Liz run inside. She came over to me and just hugged me while I cried.
     "Hey, is he really worth your tears?" Liz asks me.
     "N-no he isn't." I get a sudden boost of confidence, "He doesn't deserve my love or tears!"
     "That's right!" She continues to hype me up.
     By the end of our little "hype session" we find a movie and have a movie night. We watched 3 movies and by the end of them all it was 12 am. We both sleepily got up and walked to bed.

Next morning

     I got up before Liz so I decided to wake her by playing a song REALLY loud. She jolted up and nearly fell off the bed.
     "REALLY?!?! I was sleeping!"
     "I know! But we need to go to work now."
    She groaned and got up. We both got ready for work. (She has clothes at my house and vice versa). She got in her car and I got in mine and we took off towards work. When I got to work I went in and grabbed my apron. I walked out and saw my first table with only one person, but when I looked closer I realized who it was.
     "Hello, I'm Sky and I'll be your waitress today." I let out a little giggle after saying that and Thomas starts chuckling
"Well hello Sky, I'll take a coffee please." He looks up at me and smiles.
"Right away!" I walk off blushing like crazy. I'm still so surprised that I am talking to THE Thomas Brodie-Sangster. Like omg. I bring him back his coffee and tell him I have to go wait on other tables he smiles then looks down at his phone and continues to type.
I hear my name and turn towards the door. There stands Josh. All the feelings and emotions suddenly flood me and I take off running. I run right through the back door and break down in the alley. I hear the back door open and I look over expecting to see my best friend, but it instead it was Thomas.
    "Sky, what's wrong? Who is that guy?" He says very concerned as he comes and sits next to me.
     "H-he was my ex. He visited me last night a-and I shut the door on his face." I reply sniffling a lot.
     He wraps his arms around me and pulls me close. "You don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to, but I would like to know if that's ok." I accept his warm embrace and just kind of take in his scent and warmth before I decide to tell him.
     "Well, Josh and I we really loved each other but one day..." I tell him the story and he sits there and listens the whole time. When I end he just gives me a giant warm hug.
     "I'm so sorry you had to go through all that." He says and he looks truly sad.
     "It's no big deal... anymore. Liz helped me when it happened." I said nonchalantly.
    "If you say so... let's get you inside now shall we?" He gives me a sweet smile.
     "Ok, yea I need to get back to work."
     We walk inside and Liz comes over to hug me and explains that my boss came out and told Josh that if he wants to come here he is not to bother me anymore. I walk over and hug my boss thanking him for what he did. He's always been like a brother to me, and no, I'm not friend zoning him, he's married and has a beautiful little girl.
     I turn around to see Thomas smiling as he watches me hug everyone. He walks over and asks if I could go to lunch with him in my lunch break. I tell him I will and he smiles them walks out of the café. I keep doing my work and when lunch finally comes I quickly text Thomas.

Hey Thomas! I'm on my lunch break, where do you want to meet?

Hey! How about the place we went for our first date?
