Kaori POV
"Kaori." Mum says
"Hmm? What's up?" I ask
"Why not when you get out of the hospital we invite him over to see you but not know it?" Mum suggests
"Great idea, hun!" Dad says kissing mum on the cheek
"Mum? Dad? Thank you, for letting me keep the child." I say
"No problem, Sweetie! Well help you out while your at school!" Mum says
"Because were gonna be working in the shop!" Dad says
"Thank you both." I say, "Can I tell Tsubaki first? She's known Kousei the longest and would be very upset if I didn't tell her."
"Sure Sweetie." Mum says
"Here's your phone, just call her instead so you don't have to scare everyone at school." Dad says
"Ok." I say as I call Tsubaki

"Tsubaki?" I say over the phone
"Kaori? What? How are you alive? Not trying to be mean." She says
"Its ok. I wanna tell you something but you can't tell Kousei, k?" I say
"I won't trust me." She says
"I'm pregnant."
"What? With who's baby?"
"Kousei's."
"Ehhhh? Don't tell me it was when you had the towel on ur head?!"
"No, no. It rained that day."
"Oh that's right it was raining."
"So he lent me some clothes to wear till mine were dry."
"Oh! So when did you get pregnant?"
"I cant really remember right now my memory is really hazy."
"Its ok just tell-"
"My dad left for the bathroom."
"You said that so he won't get even more upset than he already is."
"Yup, I got pregnant when you went out of town"
"That was 4 or 5 months ago, Kaori!"
"Kousei let me stay over at his house that night cuz a tornado ended up coming so he let me sleep in his dads bed, cuz his dad is barely there anymore, so I spent the night."
"Your dad walked back in huh?"
"Yup!"
"I knew that you had stopped talking about it quickly."
"Kaori I'm taking your dad to the food court!" Mum says
"Haii!"
"Good now full story."
"So maybe 10-20 minutes after he went back to his room showing me to his dads he came in half awake half asleep."
"Sounds about right."
"And probably half drunk, too.
"WHAT????!!!!!"
"Yeah, but there wasn't any alcohol at his house."
"Yeah, he only has soda. Wait what soda did he have?"
"Ummm, Ginger Ale. Why?"
"Excuse me, miss?" A nurse asks
"I'll call you back, Tsubaki." I say ending the call
"Yes?" I say to the nurse
"This gentlemen would like to see you." She says
"Hello, Miss Kaori Miyazono or soon to be Mrs. Kaori Arima." the Gentlemen says
"Who might you be?" I ask
"Who was the Gentlemen in the photos at Kousei's House?" He says
"AHH! Your Kousei's Dad, Mr. Takahiko Arima!" I yell in my hospital room
"Yes, I am." Takahiko says, "Kaori, tell me why your in the hospital?"
"I had surgery to get rid of my Friedreich's Ataxia." I say getting scared
"What did you just find out today? If you tell me, I won't tell Kousei and I'll tell you how I know." He says
"Well, today my parents and I found out I'm pregnant with a baby." I tell him
"Whose baby?" He asks
"Kousei's, Sir. I'm probably 4 months." I say
"Just as I suspected." He says
"What do you mean?" I ask
"Kousei got you pregnant when you stayed over because Tsubaki was out of town!" He says
"How'd you know that?" I ask
"Now for me to tell you how I know." He says, "I came back to Japan to visit Kousei but didn't tell him, and I forgot my bottle of Ginger Ale, that I put Champagne in, at Kousei's place."
"He drank it." I tell him
"I figured he would he always used to drink it before I left Japan." He says, "But it wasn't on purpose, I didn't mean to leave it. And who know Tsubaki was out of town?"
"True, but still-!" I start but I'm cut off
"Wait! Was he half awake, half asleep, and half drunk?" He asks
"Yeah, why?" I asked now concerned
"When Kousei was younger he was diagnosed with Hypnagogia, meaning half awake and half asleep, but before being diagnosed when he would be in the state he would get something to drink which was always Ginger Ale or when he would accidentally get my champagne." He explained, "When Kousei was diagnosed they said his is a very unstable and unsafe to where if he drank too much he would die early. So I left Japan and went to Australia, and when Saki, Kousei's mom died, I called Tsubaki's parents and asked them to watch over him as well as Hiroko Seto being his legal guardian."
"Really?" I ask
"Yes, during that state his mind is awake but his body isn't. And he goes to drink something during that time." He says, "So please take care of him, Kaori."
"I will, don't worry." I tell Kousei's Dad
"Would you mind if I met your parents?" He asks
"No, just wait my mum took my dad to the food court so I could tell Tsubaki." I tell him
"Ok." He says
*Minutes Later*
"Mum. Dad. This is Kousei's father, Mr. Takahiko Arima." I say as they walk through the door
"Oh! Very nice to meet you!" they both say
"They're big fans of Kousei's." I tell him
"We're Kaori's Parents. I'm Ryouko Miyazono, Kaori's Mother, and this is my husband Yoshiyuki Miyazono, Kaori's Father." My mum tells Kousei's dad
"Kaori?" A voice says as everyone looks towards the door
"I'm sorry, Kaori. He followed me." Tsubaki says
"Kousei." I say
