Ch. 12

After talking to Jason a bit, I made my way to the training ground which a lot of people were at. As I reached it a symbol appeared over my head which caused people to stop. They murmured as they looked at the symbol. I looked up to see a trident. "You've been claimed." I heard from a voice close by. I look to see Nico with Will. "Yeah. I guess I have." I say nonchalantly to them. "I see you're doing better (Y/n)." I smile at Will and nod. "Yeah. Whatcha two doing?" I ask just now noticing that they had armor on. "We're about to play capture the flag. Do you want join us?" I nod which causes Will to pull me off somewhere to get armor.

Once armored up I was handed a keychain with pearl on it. I look at it confused. "Give it a swing." Will tells me. I look at him crazy before shrugging and doing what he said. It turned into a sword which caught me off guard. "Whoa. That's so cool!" I says as my eyes light up with excitement. I carefully and skillfully swing the sword around. "It's so light compared to the other swords I've picked up." Will laughs as he places his hand on my shoulder. "Your sword is called Seapearl." I nod before heading to the capture the flag area. "Let's get this started." Will nods as him and Nico follow.

I decided to be on Will and Nico's team since I am the only one from my cabin playing since Percy was off doing something. I tried to keep the rules in my mind, but I just got so caught up in my thoughts of with winning. I had rushed off before we had a plan. As I ran I saw others going on the attack. I decided to climb a tree to get a higher advantage of the situation. I saw the flag not far off. I jumped down from the tree, landing on a person from the other team that happened to be under the limb that I was on. I mumble a Sorry before running off towards the flag.

I stopped in front of the guards near the flag. They came at me leaving the flag open for someone else to take it. I fought them, even though I have never fought anyone before. I left bruises and cuts on them before knocking them out. I was going to grab the flag before getting picked up. "No you don't." I squeak as I squirm in Luke's grasp. "We're on the same team! Put me down!" I tell him trying to get down. "I'd rather not put you down, after all you did break my nose." He says which causes me to growl. "Put me down!" I shout as the dew on the plants fly up. "What are you two doing? Why is the dew in the air?" I look over to my side to see Will and Nico. I close my eyes as I struggle more to get free. The dew shot at Luke like small paint balls, which hurt like hell. He drops me to shield himself. I drop to the ground and open my eyes before rushing over to the flag and grabbing it.

After a bit of arguing and being told that I wasn't allowed to do some things I had to leave, but Nico left with me. "Hey. Would you like to spar? You're new and all, but I'm sure you don't know how to use your sword." He asked me. He seemed a bit nervous, but I didn't think much on it. "Sure, but don't complain when I kick your butt!" I say as I get ready to fight him. He laughs lightly, which is rare for him, but I didn't know that. We got in ready positions before I made the first move aim for his legs. He counters my move. That's how it went, one of us attacks the other counters the attack. If someone from far away saw us, it would look as if we were dancing around with weapons.

Eventually I knocked Nico to the ground and pinned him there. We were both breathing hard. "I won." I say not even noticing how awkward the position we're in actually is. "Um..." A blush starts to form on his pale cheeks. "Could you please get off of me?" He asks me, which earns a confused look from me until I realize our position. I quickly get up off of him. "S-Sorry!" A blush starts to form on my own cheeks. I help him up. Before Nico could say anything else I started to walk away. I couldn't believe I just did that. "That was so awkward!" I took off the armor and made my sword become the keychain with a pearl on it so I wasn't carrying around a sword as I went back to my cabin.

I took another shower then put on a big baggy Guns 'N Roses shirt and some sorts with my blue and black high tops. I dried my hair with a towel then let it air dry, which caused it curl up on its own. My hair happened to naturally do this, but since I would always brush it, my hair would be super wavy. "Your hair looks really pretty like that." I look back to see Percy. I smile at him. "Thanks, my hair naturally does this." He nods and walks over to me. "Be careful with Nico. He's been through a lot." I looked at him confused until my face became red. "It's not like that! We were just sparring!" Percy laughs as Annabeth walks in. "You were claimed?!" I look at her a nod as my face is still red. She was about to ask why, but Percy stopped laughing. "What?! He actually claimed you?! That's so cool!" He says as he pulls me into a hug. I just stood there until he let go. "Yeah, but it's not a big deal." I tell him. "Not as big of a deal as what happened during your time with Nico~" I growl and knock Percy down onto the ground. "Shut up about how close Nico and I got when I beat him in our sparring match!" Annabeth laughs at us. "You two are truly siblings." I roll my eyes before walking out of the cabin.
