Wow this is gonna be long, or short, depending on what I can remember.
Here's my list of some random and not so random things that annoy me:
•Dirty glasses. I CAN'T STAND THEM, whether it's little specks of dirt on the lenses or they're just foggy. I've literally cried a few times because of this (embarrassing right) but I just can't help it, they have to be somewhat clean. I hate when raindrops fall on them too because then all I see are little clear circles and it's just weird and distracting. Don't even get me started on when people touch the lenses with their fingers though..... I don't want anyone's fingerprints on my glasses, no thank you! 🤦🏻♀️ I remember this one time, (well actually, I've done this a few times) when my glasses were really dirty and it was 10th period and I was in Spanish so I was just like whatever, I have nothing to clean them with so I'm just not gonna wear them. I guess I just would rather have bad eyesight than have them be unclean (is that even a word?).
•People getting mad easily. My brother is a great example. He gets mad over the LITTLEST (not so little when it's capitalized but you get what I mean) things and I'm just standing there like "???". He'll start swearing at me and it all goes downhill from there. Another example that came to my mind is this kid in one (actually a couple) of my classes. He started crying once because the teacher promised she'd call on him for something but then she forgot and called on someone else and he got so mad, yelled at her, cried, and refused to talk to her or anyone else for the rest of the class and just sat there at his desk with his head down. That's just ... I don't know. Childish?
•Way too competitive people. Same kid I just mentioned got really mad once in gym class because a girl on my "volleyball team" said that our team won (I think the other team actually did) but we weren't sure and the kid started arguing with us and basically, he started crying because my friend was like "nope, we won" and we moved up a court and they moved back. There's also this other kid who I played against in badminton and he was just WAY too competitive like damn, just chill. Everyone knows you're good (I guess) at this sport so stop trying to make yourself seem even better because you're messing up from trying so hard and making ME look better than you, which is the complete opposite of what you want.
•Sensitive people. If I can't joke around with you without you taking everything I say too seriously or personally, I'm sorry but we most likely can't be friends. All I do is tease and "bully" my friends but it's my (interesting, to say the least) way of showing that I'm comfortable with you and that I actually like you as a friend.
•When the sidewalk isn't wide enough for three people. Being that friend who has to walk behind the rest is just 😐. Sidewalk makers, whatever you're called, PLEASE make the sidewalks wider!
•When a teacher calls on you and your hand isn't even raised. I hate when teachers who do this, unless I know the answer. But even when I do know the answer, sometimes they do it so randomly and unexpectedly that I forget the answer for a second because I'm too busy freaking out that they just called on me and I wasn't ready. My science teacher did that a lot so I would participate earlier in class so he hopefully wouldn't randomly call on me later, but of course, me and my luck, he would call on me anyways. My plan clearly didn't work, at least not in his class. I've had times where I didn't know the answer though and it's just so embarrassing!
•When your parents call your name and you say "what" and they don't respond. I'll be sitting there saying "what?" over and over again and get no response so eventually I have to get my lazy butt up and go to them and ask them what they want, and sometimes they'll respond with, "I didn't call you...?" That's just confusing because I'm pretty sure you did!
•When you brush your teeth and then all of a sudden start to crave all sorts of food, but you gotta wait. It's such a struggle! Especially late at night. I also don't get people who brush their teeth and eat right after. I just can't do that. Everything tastes like whatever the food is mixed with minty toothpaste and that's just bleh to me, I hate the taste.
•Cicadas. Gosh, are they annoying! I haven't heard them yet this summer, I hope they left and decided to never come back. What's mind blowing to me though is that there's places that DON'T have cicadas and people there don't even know what they are! Such lucky people, I'm jealous. I gotta deal with little screaming bugs that don't know how to shut up all summer while you get peace and quiet? Doesn't sound too fair to me. 🤷🏻♀️
