The dying music drifted down the hall as Lafayette ran a towel across his forehead, wiping away the sweat that had collected during his rehearsal. He waved goodbye to his best friends and dance crew, Alex, John, and Herc, then draped the towel his neck and grabbed his grey jacket, heading down the hall. "Preach preach preach..." he muttered the lyrics of his number under his breath, but was cut off by soft piano music coming from a room as he passed. He glanced in and saw a young woman with beautiful (y/h/c) hair pulled up into a bun, dancing gracefully near a barre.

He paused, leaning on the door, watching as she rose onto the toe of one foot and lifted the other up into a straight line. She lowered it, releasing the barre, and spun away, her toùrs becoming perfect pirouettes as she drifted across the floor. A grin spread across the man's face, as he remembered going to the ballet back in France, and seeing dancers that seemed unable to hold a candle to this woman in front of him. As the music came to a stop, she froze, then slowly drifted to the ground, laying down in a delicate position. Music started, and she began a dance that entranced the Frenchman so that he seemed unable to breathe.

He slowly stepped into the room, sitting on the floor to watch. (Pls watch le video up top) About halfway through, the woman took notice of him and smiled playfully from her sitting position, before continuing her dance. When she finished, resuming her starting pose on the floor, Laf couldn't help but applaud softly. She sat up, grinning.

"Thank you, thats so kind." She pulled her feet forward and began unlacing her shoes, pulling of one with a slight wince, then let out a small curse as she removed the other to reveal that her toes were bleeding. Lafayette's eyes widened, "Oh my gosh, mademoiselle, are you alright?" She waved away his helping hand and stood, favoring her left leg, "I'm fine, just a part of dance." She limped over to her bag, pulling out a bandage, and wrapped her foot.

"So, what did you think, random dude?" Lafayette laughed, "It was beautiful! And my name is Lafayette. Er, well, at least my friends call me that, my real name is far too long." He let out a chuckle, the offered the girl a hand, helping her up off the bench.

"Nice to meet you Lafayette, my name is (y/n). Do you dance here?" Laf nodded, "Oui, I am part of the hip-hop group, The Revolutionaries. But I also dance contemporary and a small hint of ballet, from back home in France. And what about you, (y/n), do you do any other than Ballet?" The woman nodded, "Yeah, I also do Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical, and I took one hip-hop class once, but failed miserably. But I've heard of your group, I've seen some of your numbers, You four are amazing! That time you dance battled Sam and the Loyalists? That was awesome! That one guy with the brown ponytail, he's so fast!"

The two dancers left the studio, walking to a small pickup truck, while continuing to talk.

"You, you've seen our numbers?" (Y/n) nodded, "Oh yeah, I love watching other styles, and you guys are my favorite Hip-Hop group! I wish I could do it, but sadly I kinda suck at it." Laf let out a chuckle, "Well perhaps I shall have to tutor you sometime, (y/n). I would love to dance with you."

(Y/n) smiled, "Yeah, I'd like that. My old partner, Aaron, we had a disagreement and unfortunately don't dance together anymore. I feel like you'd be a wonderful replacement." Her hand settled on his arm, causing him to blush slightly, but she removed it quicker than a blink.

"Well, this is me," she tapped the old truck, "I'll see ya round, Revolutionary."

She drove off, leaving Lafayette slightly dazed, as he wandered to his car, and he hoped he really would see her around, and that they would be able to dance together.
