Sooooo sadly I'll have to cut out lots of crap in this if I want to have time to complete it ;-; BUT HEY, THE BOOK IS CALLED ONESHOTS, ISN'T IT? SO I'LL PROBABLY BE WRITING MORE TO MAKE UP FOR IT IN THE FUTURE :3 Also, this'll be half-assed since I don't have much time to write it and to edit it, but enjoy nevertheless :3
Update: I really like writing pissed Roy XD
Chapter 4: Friendships
Well well well, look at what we've got here. A small smile sneaked onto Feli's face as, without a moment's hesitation, she walked over to her target, reaching behind her to undo the lazy morning ponytail she had made upon waking up before leaving. "Hey guys!"
Two heads jolted up and over to her, eyes scanning her quickly before the duo visibly relaxed, as much as they seemed utterly confused. "Feli? What are you doing here?"
"What, can't come get a morning coffee too?" The girl giggled as she slid into the free chair next to Christina's, who was still busy just staring at her, the driver who had defeated her in a race just yesterday. "But yeah, Bart, I'm just here for breakfast. It's not like I have a home here since I just drive around from place to place in Mia."
"Mia?" The dark-haired girl finally spoke up, her voice as timid as usual as she shifted over to give the newcomer some more place.
"Oh," Feli gave out a laugh -she laughed a lot, noted Christina, it made her look pretty friendly-, "Mia's my car. Y'know, my RX-8?"
Once the waitress had come over to take Feli's order, a mere muffin with a coffee, Christina, usually so quiet and humble, couldn't help questioning the other girl some more. "Why did you give your car a name?"
A grin, shot the younger girl's way. She reminds me of Steve. "Because my car's not just a car. No car is. I've always believed that cars were... Well, alive, I guess, but... There's something there. Like it has a soul or an aura or... Something. Y'know?"
"That can't be true," denied Bart, shaking his head with a small chuckle. "It's not scientific."
Instead of getting frustrated like Christina thought she would've, the Mazda driver simply shrugged with a soft hum, seeming pretty nonchalant about it, although maybe that was just because her breakfast had arrived. "Yeah, true, but still. I've been driving Mia ever since... Well, six years now? She's the first car I drove."
"She even has a gender?"
"Could you name other cars too?" Curiously asked Christina, finding this new person odd, yes, but also... Intriguing. And hey, she was pretty nice too, especially for someone who beat her in a battle yesterday. She would've still been sore about it, but... Well, it did win her a praise from none other than the Red Robin...
She ignored Bart's gawking at her -his partner never talked this much or showed interest for many things-, paying attention as Feli spoke up after having taken a bite out of her muffin, her tone nonchalant. "Well, sure, I suppose, but not like that on the spot. I'd have to have been exposed to it somehow. Racing it could help, but the best way to get to know a car is to get behind the wheel or to sit in the passenger seat. And even then," she smiled over to the Porsche driver, "the best person to determine the car's character is its driver. Especially since most of the time, the driver's influenced by the car and the car, by the driver."
Christina gave off a faint hum, nodding before looking off into the distance slightly, seeming thoughtful. After a moment of watching her, Bart gave off a groan. "Christina, you aren't gonna name the car, are you?" When she didn't answer, "Stop, you're starting to look like Tim!"
