I'm so tired ughhhh-- So I really wanted to get as close as possible to completing this before my camp so I could actually get it out of my mind, so here goes. This is a timeskip into what would've been later in the story that will act as a sort of summary of everything I didn't get to write, although I doubt it'll be gold since I'm so exhausted. Anywho, enjoy ;)

Secrets

The Charger gave out a low groan as the young girl shifted over to join its driver in the narrow back seat, the closest thing that came to a bed at the moment. Messy, untied hair, heavy eyelids, quiet yawns and a rare quietness, everything about the usually-lively, goofy Feli screamed exhaustion.

Obi-Wan couldn't blame her. Everything had tumbled so quickly ever since last night. Steve coming up in a panic and spilling the beans, everyone getting the hell away from Mount Carbon and escaping in their cars to spare themselves from the cops and from... Well, none other than himself. Now aware of Obi-Wan and Roy's true intentions, everyone had stranded the two undercover cops.

Everyone but Feli.

"Obi?" The sleepy driver's voice sounded silently in the calmness of the car, one so contradictory to the absolute chaos that Steve's blurting had caused amongst the Titans. No one knew who to trust, what to do, where to go, anymore. All of them had wanted to ditch the traitors, but none of them had wanted to leave their newest friend, the RX-8 owner, behind. Ultimately, almost all of them had chosen to avoid the risk of staying near the police officers. Only Tim, Christina and Bart had chosen to stick with Feli; the McLaren and Skyline, like shadows in the darkness of the night, slumbered nearby in the empty parking lot. Leaving the Porsche behind had been, just like it had for the car Mia, a difficult choice, but had been necessary to get away from Mount Carbon as quickly as possible without making their getaway too obvious. The police would've surely noticed if the place had abruptly emptied itself of all of its street racing cars.

Fights, getting yelled at, everything about this day full of conflicts had been tiring for Obi-Wan, which is why he only bothered to answer with a hum to Feli's call for him.

It was too dark for him to see her next to him, snuggled up in her own sleeping bag and spread out across the back seat with him, almost fully pressed up against him since there was so little space, but he could nevertheless imagine her blue eyes gazing up softly at him from behind her glasses. "You're my friend, right?"

The Scot couldn't help blinking momentarily in surprise. Sure, the girl was odd and usually blurted out the weirdest or most random things, but this question completely caught him off-guard. Didn't she know? "Of course I'm your friend, Felicity."

"Then I'll trust you. You say you're not a cop, I'll believe that, even if Steve said you're one."

The guilt hit him, and it hit him heavy.

"Felicity..."

He wished he could tell her. He so direly wished he could tell her. I am a cop, Felicity. I've been lying to all of you this time. My real name is Ben Kenobi, I'm an undercover cop, and Steve told you the truth. He could no longer take the pressure of respecting our deal by leaking information about the Titans' activity to make sure Adreanna would be spared from getting sent to prison for criminal involvement with street racers. He instead chose to assure her safety himself. I'm sorry...

"That means Roy isn't a cop either. That guy who beat me with his Skyline, y'know, the one who hates me?"

The redhead's hesitant approaches and troubled looks flashed in Obi-Wan's mind. "Roy doesn't hate you--"

"But everyone does." The girl, usually so energetic and bubbly, gave out a long sigh. She was rarely ever this serious. Obi would've loved to meet this new side of her, but in any other context than this. "I just... I just hope we can all get back together and be friends again. I know it's dangerous to go back to Mount Carbon, but... It was becoming my home. I was considering staying, y'know." She gave out a low, bitter laugh. "You guys are just so awesome. You, Christina, Bart, Tim... Even Roy's nice when he wants to be. And even if the cops would be there... It wouldn't mean anything. I wouldn't let myself, or any of us, get caught. I'd rather die than get locked up in a cell."

You're so mature when you want to be, Felicity. Everyday I get to know you better and better... He closed his eyes regretfully with a quiet sigh. And the more I get to know you, the further I fall for you.

He heard the girl shift some more next to him, rub up ever so slightly against him as she tried to make herself comfortable. A shiver, sensation so rare for him, running down his spine. Yet I can't love you. I'll only hurt you, betray you. I long to take care of you, to see your smile everyday, but still, I must bury my love for you.

"Obi..."

A small, soft body cuddling up against him, craving his warmth. Just like a sleepy kitten, only more adorable. The undercover cop couldn't help the gentle smile that touched his lips.

He couldn't muffle out his heart's whispers. He slowly wrapped his arms around the girl before bringing her close.

When he finally closed his eyes again, he did so peacefully, his mind free of all troubles for the first time in a very long time and very much full with a single thought;

Although I suppose I can let it surface occasionally.
