Shelby was alone. She knew that and with having to survive on her own in this crazy world full of man-eating zombies, mutant spiders, undead skeleton remains, a human-made monster gone wrong known as the Creeper, and the evil alien Enderman, the only thing to take her mind off of things was to kill them. She thought of it as fun and after so many times killing them, she even laughed at it, just like how she laughs at everything else.

Shelby sat on her bed in her wooden shack with her head in her hands. The silver crown perched on top of her head was all she had left of her past life, but now it was falling off. She stood up, straightened the crown, and walked to the chest containing her food. Shelby grabbed a small loaf of bread and kept it in her inventory. She paced around her one room house grabbing all the essentials for a mining trip; her iron sword, two stone pics, a stack of torches, and a bucket of water in case she comes across lava.

Walking out her door she heard a familiar noise behind her; a zombie moan. She smiled and remembered it was still the morning, so some of the undead zombies and skeletons could still be around, as her house was in a forest making it an ideal living spot for those nocturnal monsters during the day.

Shelby saw it easily as it was slowly walking towards her. With three hits to the head she laughed and picked up the remaining rotten flesh. Shelby glanced at her sword seeing that it had little life left. The thought of having it deteriorating on the mining trip flew through one ear, but out the other and continued to a recently discovered ravine through the forest.

Shelby was half way through the massive ravine already, and filled it with torches earning 17 iron and 36 coal for the multiple monsters she destroyed. Shelby threw out all of her rotten flesh, bones, gunpowder, and string that was crowded her inventory when something caught her attention; mossy cobble in the nearby stone wall. Her smile grew as she walked right through her trash pile to get to it. She mined it and found see made a hole in he ceiling so she could see everything. This one was new to her; she's never seen one with multiple different spawners with multiple different types. Already it was full of mobs. The skeleton shot to her arm took a heart and a half not including the fall damage she took when she fell in.

Immediately more monsters spawned crowding the small room. She lost a heart from the fall damage and lost more when a nearby creeper blew. Shelby wasn't smiling now; she sacked another spider in the head with remaining energy she had and that was the end of her sword; and possibly her.

Then, she was given another chance.

Shelby's vision became blurry as she fell over in pain from the multiple monsters trying to kill her, but it was clear to her when she saw three people came yelling from behind her and obliterated the monsters crowding the room. A man in full iron who's face she was unable to see came and picked up her head into his hands.

"Kyle, Dar we need to go now!" He yelled as others that were also wearing the iron armour came by.

"Tyler you carry her, Kyle, you torch what's left of this place and I'll kill what's in our way." Another person said and he moved as well as the other to his left. Shelby felt her self be raised into the first mans arms as her eyes began to close.

"No, no, don't do that. You'll be fine, trust me, please." He said. Shelby nodded and opened her eyes the slightest bit.

The group ran through the hole they made before they saved her. The man in front of them took out a skeleton as the the second man set a torch on the wall. An Enderman, three creepers, six spiders, eight skeletons, and twelve zombies were killed before they reached the surface. Shelby started to feel more pain as they moved. Most in her right arm, left shoulder, and in the middle of her back.

The sun was setting but this was still enough to blind her until her eyes adjusted. Shelby couldn't see the trees they were passing and didn't recognise the part of the forest they were in as they ran for what seemed like an eternity. The four came across a two story wooden house in the forest that Shelby didn't know existed.
