~Gabriel's P.O.V~
The next few days passed in a blur. I didn't waste any of my time talking to anyone, except occasionally Dani and her interesting friend, Adam.
It was lunchtime and I was walking the roudy, annoying hallways of my own personal purgatory when I heard high pitched shouting. Automatically, I knew it was Dani. I turned around to check out what was happening and saw Dani shooting daggers at some snotty girl.
Oh man. Not again.
I rolled my eyes at there petty, little catfight. It was probably about which lipstick brand was better, I thought smugly. I turned the corner and walked until I was close enough to hear their conversation without being seen. I had to see this. I peeked out to see what was happening and what happened right then, I almost pissed my pants. I couldn't hold it in anymore and burst out laughing. Dani and that girl, I think her name was Angela, were loudly arguing when Dani took a casual drink from the water fountain and unexpectadely spit all of it in the girls face. The girl shreiked and started smacking Dani anywhere she could reach. This only made me laugh harder.
I was too busy laughing and I didn't notice that the two girls were standing over my crouched form, staring daggers at me.
"Hey guys. Whatsup?" I said casually, trying to be as inconspicuos as I could.
Angela spoke up, trying to smooth out her wet hair, "Oh hey, Gabe. What are you doing here? Would you like to join me in the cafeteria?" She smiled, hope dancing in her eyes.
My eyes narrowed at my damn nickname, and ignored her question. I got up and said, "Gotta go, catch you later."
Dani just stood there, arms crossed, glaring at me. I was begining to get alarmed, kinda scared that she would jump on me and scratch my eyeballs out. Yes, I'm sure she would do that.
As I quickly walked away, I heard Angela yelling, "You're going to catch me later? Really?! When? How about dinner?"
Anyone who was in my way was pushed to the side, I wasn't in the mood to deal with any lingering idiots. I ground my teeth together and carried on with my uninteresting lunch.
~Dani's P.O.V~
"Are you kidding, Angela?!"
This girl was pathetic! I mean, really? Like, seriously?
Suddenly I burst out laughing. I couldn't take it. She thought I liked Gabriel. Like in a lovey dovey way. She wanted me to back off him, because, and I quote, "He isn't meant for you, Dani. He's clearly my soulmate and your getting in the way of what's meant to be. So BACK OFF, Loser." Ok, this was way too funny.
"What would I be kidding about?" She sneered, her icy blue yes, turning icier. Ooooh, I'm so scared. Note the sarcasm.
"So you think I like Gabriel. And you like him. So you hate me. And you think he likes you. So you hate me." I babbled on in a monotone, being clear that this was such a dumb observation.
"Don't pretend that you don't like him, Dani. I know you do, and your not going to get him, so go buy a life and some makeup to cover that ugly face of yours." Was that her best? Oh man. People need to learn comebacks. Oiii.
"Sorry Angela, Earth is full. Go home." And with that I turned on my heel and left her fuming. I couldn't believe she thought I liked Gabriel. She definately had it baaaad for him. I laughed thinking of when Gabriel was walking away and she was yelling after him. He completely ignored her. One brownie point for Gabriel!
