I woke up and went on my phone for a little until I decided to get up and get dressed. I grabbed a white thrasher shrist and some dark jeans and my white converse. Then I went into the bathroom and showered, then I dried up and got into my outfit, I tied my hair into two French braids and then went downstaris.
I made myself some toast and a banana milkshake.
Then I went to brush my teeth snfd got my phone and put it in my back pocket and grabbed my bag and bicycle and left to school.
Today was my first day and since I had just moved here I didn't know anyone.
I got to school and parked my bicycle.
I took a moment to admire the large building in front of me.
I walked in and into the hall. I walked down there soon to be stopped my a girl.
'Hello!' She said
I smiled and said a quick hi
'Youre new here right?' She asked me
'Yeah, I moved here a few days ago' I answered
'Oh, I'm Camille' she said
'Im Isabella' I replied
We talked whilst we walked and then I noticed a familiar face, I stopped paying attention to Camille.
'so would you?' She asked
'Huh?' I blinked
'You weren't paying attention were you?' She laughed
'Im sorry I just know that guy.' I said pointing to Jonah'.
She looked over at him and her eyes widened
'You should stay away from Jim's She said, eyes still widened
'Well, first of all, he has a girlfriend, second of all, her name is Olivia, the schools 'popular mean girl' and she'll make your life miserable if you get close with him' she said
I nodded in response
'How do you know him?' She asked
'The day after I moved here I met him at a cafe and we met randomly, talked and he asked me to go to the park with him.' I replied
'Ah, well he is a jerk, don't let him get to you' She said
'Why?'
'Hell make you feel like a princess and then you'll find out he has a girlfriend.' She scoffed
'How do you know this is true?' I asked, eyes still focused on the tall brown-headed boy.
'Because I went through it.' She said
'Oh, so he's a player?' I asked
'Biggest one you'll meet, also Olivia breaks up with him 24/7' She laughed
I smiled and then the bell rang, signaling first period was starting soon
I had English so I walked over to the room, the teacher walked up to me and then signaled me a seat, next to Jonah. Great.
I faked a smile at her and then walked over to Jonah, his face lit up when he saw me.
'Hey Isa!' He smiled
'Hi' I replied not looking at him
'its been a while.' He said
I nodded
'Whats wrong?' he asked
I shrugged and then took a glance at him.
His smile faded away and he looked at the teacher who had now started the lesson.
The next periods went by quickly, Most of them had Jonah in them but I sat away from him.
When the bell rang for lunch, I gathered my stuff and walked out of the classroom.
'Isabella!' I heard behind me, my pace became faster.
'Isabella!' He yelled louder
I turned around and then let him catch up
'Hey let me talk to you' He said
'Look Jonah, my friend is waiting for me, I better go' I said and walked away from him
'Wait!' He quietly yelled
'What?' I asked
'Please meet me after classes in the lockers.' He said
I nodded and walked away
I walked into the cafeteria and saw Camille wave to me so I walked over to the table she sat in. There was another guy sitting next to her. I reached the table and sat down
'Hey, I'm Grayson' He said
'Hi nice to meet you, I'm Isabella's I responded
'Camille talked about you' He said
Camille smiled, we talked and after a while another guy sat, I looked up and he looked exactly like Grayson.
'Hi, I'm Ethan, you must be Isabella' he said
I smiled and nodded
'You guys are twins!' I said earning two nods.
We all got to know each other better and after a while the bell rang, we went to our next period.
I had music, I walked in and sat in the only empty seat. it was in the back and Jonah was in front of me.
'Hello class, today I have an assignment for you.' She said
'So, you will pick a partner and create a song with them. You will sing it at the camp's bonfire, you may pick a partner' She continued.
Jonah looked back at me and smiled
I fakely smiled back and and then he asked me to be his partner, I hesitated but said yes.
Then after school I went to the lockers to see what he wanted.
I was walking when I saw him, he was talking to a blonde, then he saw me and she left.
'Hey Isabella' He said shyly
'Hi' I replied
'I wanted to talk to you' He said
'About what' I replied
'You seem different than that other day we met' He said
I looked at him and opened my mouth slowly to respond but instead shook my head.
'Did I do something?' He asked
I shrugged
'Let me take you on a walk please.' He said looking at me
'Okay' I replied
He started walking and I followed him
Then I looked over and saw Camille
She furrowed her eyebrows and ran to me
'dont let his little tricks get to you' she whispered and then ran away
'Isabella?' He asked making me blink and walk to him
We were walking around in the park
'So, why are you acting like this?' He asked and I looked over to him
'Jonah, I think I shouldn't be talking to you' I said and he furrowed his eyebrows
'What?Why?' he asked
'because you'll rip my heart out' I mumbled trying for him not to hear
'What do you mean?' He asked
'dont you have a girlfriend?' I asked
'No..' He said quickly
We stayed in an awkward silence
'Oh, I see now's He said and I looked to him
'Did Camille say something to you about me being a 'player' and stuff?' He asked
I nodded
'Well, you see, here's the story, I was getting her a gift for our 10 month anniversary, I was gonna surprise her at her house. I went there and found her in bed with someone else..' He said and a tear escaped his eye but he wiped it away quickly.
'What? But why would she say that you're a player then?' I asked
'Because I ran away and into a bar and then she found me, and I was kissing a girl, but I was drunk. Then after that she started saying I was a cheater and stuff like that, that's why I don't date anyone, I can't, they all think I'm a player because of her.' He said with tears in his eyes.
I just stood there and he was trying so hard not to cry but then lost it.
I pulled him into a hug and he cried on my shoulder.
'Hey, don't cry it's okay' I said rubbing his back lightly.
'Im sorry, it's just.. she makes my life worse every day..' He said wiping his tears away
'Dont worry, it'll get better' I said hugging him tighter.
Then we walked for a while again, he got a call from his mom and then he walked me to my house. After that, he left to his own.
I went inside and no one was there, I grabbed some chips and plopped onto my couch and watched Netflix for a while and then I got a text from Jonah

Me:hey Jo
Jonah: Thank you
Me: for what?
Jonah: you're the only girl that actually cares for me
Me: we'll yeah, and I'm sorry for thinking stuff about you
Jonah: I get used to it. Hey can I ask
you something?
Me: Sure what's up
Jonah: nevermind I'll ask you tomorrow.
Me: Okay, Goodnight Jo, see you tomorrow
Jonah: Goodnight
