" Nothing Left "

Years of being put to the test,

Barely hanging on sometimes.

It feels like there's nothing left,

Feels like goodbye might be right.

Between us, an old fallen love,

And our desire to have it back again.

But it is missing too much...

Plus the miles, are too great and always have been.

Pulling back as I ease away,

Trying to be careful.

Sorry,  but there's no other way,

For there's nothing left, that's all.

Winding up, pitch to the plate.

Our beautiful love, has lost its' way.

There are no more innings,

We can't win this babe.

Struggling, stressing and hurting inside,

Nights alone and days without.

It just might be time...

To walk away, bailout!

Friends don't tear each other down,

They help each other out.

I guess when you left town,

I should have come around.

Should've known, there was nothing left...

When you never came back.

Love put to a 9 year test....

Can only turn out bad!
