"So Reece or Blake?"

"What are you on about George?" I question.

"Are you more into Reece or Blake?"

"They're both just friends, if I can even consider Blake a friend."

"Why can't you consider Blake a friend?"

"George, it's been almost two weeks since I've known you three, and we're always at each other's throats. You really call that a friendship?"

"You have a point." He smiles. "So you're more into Reece?"

"I'm not into either of them!"

"You sure?"

"Yes! Reece has a bloody girlfriend too! You know that!"

"Obviously I know that. She's one of my best friends."

"Why are you so interested in my love life?"

"Not sure, I just felt like asking."

"Did Mia put you up to this?"

"No."

"Was it Sean?"

He doesn't say anything.

"Oh my god! Sean put you up to this, didn't he?"

"What? No!"

"Then why didn't you answer the first time?"

He sighs. "Fine, he did."

"I knew it!"

"Don't get mad at him, okay? He's just concerned."

"I'm 19. It's not like I'm in my late fifties."

"True."

"I have a long time until we get to that point."

"So why does he want you to date so badly?"

"Because I've been through so much pain in my life and he wants something to fill that void."

"Right, with your parents and all."

"But I don't have that void. He thinks I do, but I don't."

"You sure?"

I nod. "It's been filled by all of the people around me that care about me and support me."

"So why does he think that?"

"Because I struggled with it up until last year."

"You did?"

I nod. "It took a lot of therapy for me to get to that point."

"So do you think that Sean is afraid you're going to relapse and feel that way again?"

"I never thought of it that way."

"I bet Mia feels the same way."

"I don't mean to sound rude about it, but they need to get it through their heads that I'm fine."

"Be as rude about it as you want. I don't care."

"But we are in mine and Mia's flat. She's bound to walk in at some point."

"You have a point."

"Speaking of which, let's talk about what we're going to do for her birthday before she gets here."

"Her birthday?"

"It's next week. I want to plan something for her."

"Like? What does Mia even want for her birthday?"
