Not Young Anymore(Ness x Lucas)

A New Friend

Ness's Pov

After a while of telling the teachers about the fight Lucas and Ana had, I ran all over the school looking for him. He was nowhere to be seen. There is one place you didn't look. Then I remembered the place no one goes to anymore. The Garden! 

I ran out of the  back door of the cafeteria. I slid through the hall way and took a left. I took another left then a right. There were big glass doors. The doors were so clear that you could see the vegetation(plants) outside. I quietly open the door. You could hear birds, bugs, and other animals. I listen very carefully. Not to far away you could hear soft crying.  I followed the sound. It slowly became louder, but not so loud the near by houses could hear, as I walked closer. There I saw the most precocious sight ever.

Lucas was on a white bench and he had his knees tucked in close to his chest. His arms raped around his legs. His head lay on his knees so all you saw was his blond hair. What made it so cute was the slight whimpers of cry you heard. I'll cherish this moment forever.

I sat down next to him, watching him for a while. Then, after 2 minutes, I put my hand on his shoulder like I did the first day of school. He stopped whimpering and looked up at me with tears still streaming down his face. My violet eyes met his sapphire blue ones. Our faces were so close. 

"Are you alright?" I asked. Of course he isn't you dumb ass! 

"Yeah I'm fine." 

"Are you hurt?"

"N-No."

He was lying. There was a cut on his left cheek. He must've got cut be the icicle shards that Ana had summoned.

"That's why there is a cut on your cheek?"

His face flushed.

"I-It's n-nothing." 

I grabbed his face and looked at the cut. He turned as red as a tomato. The cut wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. I touched the wound slightly. "Ouch," he said while wincing at the pain. God he's so naive!  I realized how close our faces were. I starred into his sapphire blue eyes and he starred at my violet ones. It was a long moment of silence till I broke it. "You need to go to the nurse," I stated. "N-No. I'm in enough trouble as it i," he responded,"besides I can deal with it myself just like I did your wound.". I looked at him sympathetically. "At least let me help you," I pleaded. His face turned red. "N... Fine," he said. I smiled at him. He got redder.

Lucas's Pov

I was so embarrassed that Ness had to help me. Jeez, I'm so stupid. Once he put the band aid on my face I said,"T-Thank you N-Ness.". "No problem," He said as a smile came apon his face. I slightly blushed. "Soooo. Why did you help me? I mean, shouldn't you be with the-". He cut me off. "Ana? Oh she already has a lot of people helping her. So I thought I should help you.".

"Really?"

"Yes. Besides, I didn't want to be involved."

"Oh..."

"So where did you learn that move?"

Ness looked at me with intense eyes. 

"I picked it up when I got into a fight with some other kid named Porky who lives in my neighborhood. It's been weeks since it happened." 

"Porky?! That idiot?!"

"Yeah. You know him?"

"He goes to this school."

Oh great! Another Jerk I have to fight!

"Just great," I mumbled.

He looked at me then looked at the sky. His eyes gleamed with curiosity. 

Ness's Pov 

I starred at the sky wondering what Lucas's past was like. I starred for a while in till he broke the silence. "W-Will you b-be my f-friend?" he asked quietly. Yup. This dude is totally an introvert.  "Sure," I responded. He looked at me, with his face turning red, and warmly smiled. I slightly blushed and smiled back.
