Chapter 3:
What did these boys do that got them all expelled from their last school? I shook off my doubts and continued to eat my lunch in peace until Valerie interrupted.
“Nobody really knows why they got expelled, just that whatever they did was awful.” she whispered. I nodded my head and waited until the bell rang for the next set of classes to begin.
Up next was Chemistry. On the first day we are always assigned new lab partners, so instead of sitting down when I walked into the class, I followed the others to stand up near the front of the classroom. While waiting for class to begin, I felt someone lightly caress my elbow and upper arm. Quickly, I turned to the left to be face to face with none other than Keaton Stromberg himself. He was giving me this cocky smirk and raised his eyebrow at me, expecting some sort of outburst that was soon to come.
“What’s that all about?” I demanded.
“Don’t worry about it babe, I’m just making up for earlier.” Keaton said. His voice was smooth and it made me melt, but I stood my ground.
“Yeah well, I don’t appreciate it so if you’d knock it off I’d love that.” I turned away from him and waited for Mr. Roberts, our teacher, to assign us our lab partners for the year.
“Ms. Matthews and Mr. Stromberg, it seems the two of you will have the opportunity to be lab partners this year, enjoy.” Mr. Roberts announced. You have got to be kidding me, I thought. How could I be stuck with him? Wanting to see Keaton’s reaction to the news, I looked over and saw him grinning at me, then he gave me a wink. Main goal for senior year: not to fall for Keaton Stromberg.
(Note: Super short I know, but I really want to know what you think, that way I can write more/ extra long chapters! Thanks for reading so far if you have :) )
