I walked excitedly down the hall to the spring dance. "Oh hey Y/n!" y/f/n my friend exclaimed, she was in charge of collecting the money tonight. "Hey....." i murmmered giving her two dollars. one to get into the dance and one for her after she was done collecting. I walked in and waited for jack. We always went to dances together but this time his girlfriend was going to be with us. And i was gonna be left out of the slow dances. She hated me, always jealous of what me and jack had. Me and jack had always danced together for the slow songs. just as friends though although i always wanted it to be more. jack walked into the door. "JACK!" i yelled over the loud music. "Hey!" he waved over as he walked to me. "Hey" his girlfriend said grabing jacks hand and giving me a dirty look. I smiled trying to be poilite. Jack gave me a weird look knowing it wasnt my real smile. "What?" i asked him. "Nothing." he said shrugging his shoulders. "Should we dance?" his girlfriend asked. "We should!" i yelled and linked arms with jack. him still being in her grip, pulled him away from me. "Lets go over there!" she yelled pointing to a spot on the dance floor. i look at mine and jacks dance spot and follow them. i sighed sitting down on the benchs. "Everything okay?" jack asks. "Yeah." i replied. he looked at me and frowned knowing me to well. "Jess come here!" one of jacks friends called to her. she kissed jacks cheek and ran over to them. "so whats wrong?" jack said looking me in the eyes. "jack, I I I-" i sighed looking down. "You what?" jack asked. "I I I umm err. i kinda uh. ugh nevermind" i replied. "No tell me!' he demanded. "Look jack, i uh i kinda have a huge crush on you." i said looking down and fidling with my hands. "im sorry, i had no idea." he said as i looked at him. "Well, now you do....I hope you and Jessie are happy together." I said a tear sliping out of my eye as I stood up and started to walk away. "WAIT!" Jack called. I turned around with tears slowly rooling down my cheeks. "What?" I asked my lip quivering. He stood up and wiped the tears away with his sleeve. "I've been so caught up with everything that I didn't even relize I like you to." He said and smiled. I smiled back. "Really?" I asked. "Yeah." He replied. "But what about Jessie?" I asked. "Umm hold on." He said walking up to Jessie. He came back. "That problems solved." He said and hugged me."So, Y/n, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked. "Yes." I replied dancing with him to a slow song. "FINALLY MY DREAM CAME TRUE!!!" Was all that was running threw my head.
