I missed this place.
Despite all the times that I convinced Tyler otherwise, I just couldn't convince myself that I didn't.
How could I not? This place is the only place in the world that I can call home.
I glanced to my right to Tyler and he was already looking at me with a small smile on his face.
"Welcome back, Lynn.", he whispered.
Dang it.
All previous anger forgotten, I went right into his arms for a much awaited hug. "I missed you, you loser", I smiled.
"I missed you too, Lynn." I couldn't help but release a contented sigh. It feels good to be back.
"So, tell me," I pulled back from the hug and we continued walking towards the garden, completely ignoring the door of the mansion, "What'd I miss?"
"I'm glad you finally asked!," grinned Tyler, "I thought you never will" I laughed.
~⬇️~⬇️~⬇️~It was almost mid-day when we decided to finally go inside the house. Once we entered, Anthony, out Butler of more than 25 years greeted us with a kind smile.
"Sir Tyler, princess Adelynn, welcome back" he greeted with a small bow. "Aw come one Anthony, how many times do I have to tell you not to call me that", I cringed overdramatically causing him to chuckle.
"It's been really long, my dear" he smiled at me and gave me a side hug. "Everyone missed you here", he said. "I missed you guys too," I said. I could feel the my eyes welling up but I controlled my tears. Anthony has been the closest to a father figure to me after my parents' death."Your grandmother is waiting for you in her office dear. She's been in there since the past 2 hours now. I'm assuming she was waiting for you all this while.", said Anthony.
I sighed. "I guess I'll go and see her then." Giving a tight smile and a fake salute to Tyler and Anthony, I proceeded towards the least liked room I'm this place.Wondering why Anthony called me princess?
As much as I wish that it was just an endearment, it wasn't.
Surprise, surprise, ughh.
So, I am Adelynn Monteiro, daughter of Prince Jack and Princess Melissa, granddaughter of King Joseph Monteiro the III and Queen Cora Monteiro.
Wondering how was it possible for me to be in the states unattended for almost 7 years when I'm a Princess?
It's pretty simple actually.
My father, Jack was supposed to be crowned King when my grandfather would come to age, buy when I turned 11, dad took the decision to step down from his position and live a life away from royalty. He preferred to work in the mud for needy people than roll in gold dust with the greedy people. It took some time for my grandfather to accept his decision but he respected it. On the other hand, my grandmother didn't like the idea of his son staying away from her much. She blamed my mother for his decision as she never really accepted my mother because she came from a small baker's family in Minnesota. Before things could get messy due to my grandmother, we left Vienna and settled here, in Salsburg.
My train of thoughts came to a halt when I reached my destination. The door of misery, ugly toads, asparagus cakes and all things hideous.
I knocked the door and waited for the monotonous reply as I always did when I was in my early teenage years."Come in", came the chipped reply.
With a bright smile on my face, I entered the room.
"Grandmother"
"Adelynn.", came the reply as cold as the icicles in the caves of the Arctic pole.
Only this woman right here, can speak the language of ice.
But of course, there's no competition to Mr. Rikkard Ambrose, right?RIGHT!?!
