"Oh thank god. Thank you, I think I would have gone crazy if I had to be stuck in there again."
"Again?"
"I used to come to and fro the Limbo and the Otherside. I once got stuck in a cupboard and a child found me, I had to convince the kid I was the tooth fairy."
I laughed at Cameron's explanation when he released me from a hug. I mean dad, Cameron was my dad. The father that I haven't seen in years. His eyes were the exact same shade as mine it was eerie that I hadn't noticed them before. He looked the same as all those years ago.
Motioning to Cameron, we moved out of the bedroom. I had to figure out how long it's been. Cameron's shock upon seeing me in the Limbo hasn't worn off, I could feel him staring at me as though I'd disappear. He had the same fire powers, slightly different but it was obvious where the source of my powers were from. Our conversation was cut short by his request to come back to my world.
As we entered the living room, I looked through my phone. It's been three weeks, it's a weekday, so no one should be home. There was so much to talk to Cameron about. But I halted my steps when I heard a grunt come from behind me. Cameron was down on one knee but as fast as he was down, he got back up and dodged a dagger that narrowly missed his face. His eyes wide with surprise as he got out his own set of knives and threw it at the origin of the flying daggers.
Stepping out of the shadows, Penny threw another mind wave but this time Cameron easily dispelled it. Upon seeing me, her eyes went wide and she scooped me into a hug. Leaving Cameron confused. If I wasn't glad to see a familiar face, I would have laughed.
"How?" Penny whispered in disbelief, finally remembering the man she attacked, she took a double look and looked back at me again.
"Father?" She asked.
"Father," I confirmed and she nodded.
"Hi, I'm Penelope, you can call me Penny. Your daughter is in good hands. Sorry about attacking you, I was placed on watch today." She grinned and stretched her hand for a handshake. after exchanging a few words, Penny turned back to me.
"Okay, so you've been gone for like almost three weeks, and we had to get everyone to cover up for you. So far they've done a pretty good job. You were down with the flu, then rashes, then a sore throat, then the stomach flu. There's also something you need to know." Penny hesitated for a moment and throwing Cameron a side look, she turned back to me.
"You've been summoned to the Grand Palace."
