Chapter 5: Music Class

{Ash's POV}

It was 4th period and it was my favorite class, music class. Zoey had the same 1st, 4th and 7th period with me! Oh and lunch too, obviously. We walked to class, and the first thing I saw was a shiny, bright drum kit. It looked amazing and I asked Zoey "Who's is that? Its beautiful! And I'm talking about the drum set, not this beautiful girl I'm walking with." I said smiling. She half smiled and said "Thanks, and it's mine. I play percussion and sing. What are you gonna do?" "Probably drum and sing, why?" I asked her leaning on her kit as she sat on the stool behind it. "You go over there. With Luke and Calum. And the new boy Michael." she said pointing towards the other half of the room. I dropped my arm and slouched towards the part with the boys. "Hey, who are you?" Said a blonde boy tuning his guitar. "I'm Ashton." I replied. "Hey, I'm Calum. This is Michael and Luke." he said pointing to the other two.

{Zoey's POV}

I sat quietly at my drums as everyone else did their own thing. I didn't care about anyone, much less anything else. Ashton looked at me and smiled and waved. I slightly waved and looked away. I didn't want to trust him. It always ends up with heartbreak, no matter who it was. I couldn't feel that again. Ashton was somehow making me feel like I needed him.
