Paisley's P.O.V

The doorbell sound echoing all through the house tells me my time to get ready is over. I swipe my lashes with mascara for one last time before looking at myself in my vanity mirror.
My mother said to dress up and to look nice, so I put my contacts in and added some crimps to my short hair. I dabbed some concealer under my eyes and mascara and eyeliner on them.
I put some hair behind my ears to admire my earrings. I have in silver hearts on the bottom holes and a tiny silver hoop in the cartilage of my left ear. I release my hair from being held behind my ear due to the fact that mother still had no clue about my cartilage being pierced.
I walk over to my full sized mirror hanging on my door adoring my casual mint green and white striped dress that fell a little past mid thigh matched with white lacy flats, a chain with a cross pendent, and a charm bracelet I got from my best friend, Stacy. I grab my cellphone before opening my door and exiting my room.
"Paisley!" My mother exclaims sweetly. I mentally roll my eyes as I continue to climb down the stairs.
As I got to the bottom, I saw a middle aged couple and my mother looking slightly overdressed.
My mother opens her mouth to say something when she's interrupted by the door opening and a very attractive skyscraper of a guy walking in dressed in a blue and white plaid button up and khaki shorts.
After the door closes, he turns around and makes instant eye contact with me, showing me his blue-green eyes. We continue to stare into each others eyes until my mother clears her throat awkwardly.
"Umm... Paisley, this is-"
"Trevor" Trevor interrupts her, holding out his hand for me to shake. I connect mine with his as tingles shoot through my arm and a smile slowly creeps on my face.
"Paisley." I say still smiling. He releases my hand as we still stare into each others eyes: light brown to blue-green. My mother clears her throat again after a few seconds of silence.
"Well," she says, quietly clapping her hands. "Let's start eating!"

"You have a lovely home." Mrs. Jacobs says to me while my mother is still in the kitchen.
"Oh, um.. thanks Mrs. Jacobs." I say as I feel Trevor's intense gaze from beside me. She cringes when the words 'Mrs. Jacobs' leave my lips.
"Oh no, please dear. Call me Penny!" She exclaims a little too perky. I nod and awkwardly take a sip of my water. My mother walks back in carrying a big bowl which seemed to be filled with roast beef and sets it on the table in the middle. She sits down at the end of the table next to me and Mrs. Ja- Penny.
Suddenly, Trevor grabs the bowl of roast beef, gets some on the giant fork that looks like a miniature pitchfork and places some on my plate. I smile and blush as he does it a second time.
"Is that enough?" He asks referring to the beef on my plate. I look up from my plate and into the sea of blue-green that are his eyes and nod.
"Yeah. Thanks." I say, blushing more than I though possible. He smiles and nods and gets some for himself.
When everyone has their food, Penny starts a conversation with my mother.
"So," she says, somewhat awkwardly. "I can't hear it in your voice, but I hear an Australian accent in Paisley's." She turns to me. "So, are you Australian?" She asks me.
I'd rather not get into the long, boring story of my past so I just nod and continue shoving beef in my mouth.
Mr. Jacobs starts a conversation including my mother and Penny, so Trevor and I just sit there, listening in. Suddenly, I feel hot breath on my ear making me shiver.
"I love that dress on you." he says. I can practically hear the smirk in his voice. This gets me angry, for some reason, as I turn and lean in to his ear to whisper my reply.
"I bet you say that to every girl you hook up with, huh?" I hiss, making him pull back with a shocked yet amused expression on his face.
"Don't assume things, princess," he whispers, his lips touching my ear. "You have no idea who I am." I snap my head to the side of his and press my lips to his ear--which makes him tense up with surprise and relaxes.
"I have my theories." I whisper very soft, barely even audible.
"Trevor!" My mothers voice pulls up out of our little world as we bot adjust ourselves in our seats. Trevor clears his throat, clearly uncomfortable.
"Yes ma'am?" He asks with a polite grin on his handsome face.
"How tall are you?" She asks out of the blue. I almost choke on my water that I just took a sip from, but manage to just cough a little.
"Umm... Uh, 6'3". Why, if I may ask?" He says politely. She puckers her lips slightly and shake her head in little, slow motions.
"I was just wondering," she says with a smirk coming up on her face. Shit! "Because Paisley is only 4'8"!" She states with a laugh making Penny and Mr. Jacobs laugh with astonishment and confusion.
I pick up my napkin off my lap and throw it on the table while I push my chair back and stand up.
"Excuse me." I mutter angrily. She knows I hate it when she brings up my looks. She knows it makes me uncomfortable yet she does it anyway.
As I storm out of the kitchen, through the living room and down the hallway that leads to the glass sliding back doors, I hear footsteps following behind me, which makes me pick the pace up.
Once I reach the glass barriers from reaching the yard, I unlock it and pull it open--not bothering to pull it closed.
I throw my hands in my hair and groan, trying to push the tears back downs. A hand grabs my harm and whips me around, making me gasp out of shock.
I come face to face to my new favorite pair of blue-green eyes.
