Dear diary
Tonight I'll be sleeping with the light on. I'm not even cold. Usually I'm cold when I first get into bed, but all the terrible excitement of tonight has left my body rippling with heat.
It all started at dinner. She was snapping at my brother for sleeping with the light on when my dad walked in. She remarked that he should hear what she's saying as always. When he told her to stop being so agressive the fight broke out.
I feel bad for my brother. She always makes it about him. He's starting to believe that it really is him.
Arguing soon turned to yelling, that lasted quite a while. My sister came home. she caught her mother lying and chose to stand up. Her mother hurt her. She hit her, pulled her hair and tried to break her fingers. She was crying when I got to her. She's gone now. She ran away and now her mother says she isn't welcome anymore.
I got my brother to bed, burnt the night off with a blazing hot shower, and now I'm just lying here.
Wait, I spoke too soon. I can hear them yelling in the background again. I hope my brother will be okay.
I wish I could wake up tomorrow to a completely different life where situations like this are just bad dreams. Yet I know that wishes don't come true.
Your faithful havoc child.
