Chapter Seven: Petrified

George's POV

*FLASHBACK*

"Mr. and Mr. Weasley, I think there's something you should see." McGonigall says to us in the courtyard. She doesn't even tell us off for doing the prank we're in the middle of so she it must be important. I give Fred a questioning look as we walk behind McGonigall and he just shrugs.

I realise we are on our way to the hospital wing and I immediately get scared. We walk in and McGonigall shows us to a bed that has Hermione in it. Fred is standing there, mouth open.

"She said she would stay in the common room!" Fred said and I sigh as i look at her.

"Don't worry, she is only petrified and she should be revived soon enough." McGonigall says and walks out. Fred and I pull up a chair and sit by her.

"I can't believe it." He says.

"Well at least she is only petrified." I say and he nods sadly. "We should be going, we have herbology and I don't want a detention date with Sprout tonight." I say and he sighs.

"I think I'll you know, stay here." He says and I nod. "Can you please tell Sprout what happened?" He asks and I nod again before walking out.

Third Person POV

Fred sat there looking at Hermione. He sighed, he should have been there for her but she promised to onto stay in the common room. At lest she is only petrified he thought. He grabbed her hand in his and began to rub it. Feelings of guilt kept running through him, if only he would have been there for her.

"Why couldn't you just wait for me?" He asked her and sighed. "I'll stay right here until you wake up , Mione."

"I can't believe Ginny was taken into the chamber and Hermione hasn't woken up yet." Fred said sadly as he slammed his trunk closed. He may seem calm but he had been crying along with George ever since they found out.

"Mr. Weasley and Mr. Weasley!" McGonigall said, coming up the stairs into the boys dormitories. "There's something I think you would be happy to see!" She said and the twins followed her with a questioning look on their faces. They walked to the seventh floor, past the room of requirement that was yet to be found. They stopped outside of a stone gargoyle and McGonigall said 'Lemon Drop' and the gargoyle sprung to life.

The twins and McGonigall walked into Dumbledore's office where Ginny, Harry and Ron were. "Ginny!" The twins exclaimed happily and ran to their little sister. They hugged her tightly and Fred picked her up.

"I thought we lost you!" He said and hugged her tightly. He set her down and Dumbledore motioned for every one to take a seat.

"We will have one last feast before you all have to go home tomorrow." Dumbledore said. "I have notified your parents to tell them that Ginny is safe and it's all thanks to Mr. Weasley and Mr. Potter." Dumbledore explained some more things about what had happened in the chamber.

"Sir, I was wondering what about the people who were petrified?" Fred asked Dumbledore and Dumbledore smiled.

"The potion should be ready soon enough. Now go get ready for the end of term feast!" Dumbledore told them and they marched out of the room

"I'm so happy your okay Gin." Fred and George say and hug their sister.

"It's all because of Harry." Ginny said with a slight blush on her cheeks. The twins patted him on the back with gratitude.

"Hey! I helped!" Ron said. Soon enough everyone was in the common room getting ready.

Fred and George were sitting at the end of the table, waiting for the dinner to arrive. Sir Nicholas was flying by everyone and they were greeting him. He stopped outside of the door and said "Good to see you again Hermione."

"You too sir Nicholas." She said happily and George looked down the table to the entrance where Hermione was. He tapped Fred who looked up and smiled brightly. He sat up from his seat and ran down to Hermione, George hot on his heels.

"Hermione!" He yelled happily, picking her up and spinning her around. "I was so worried!" He said and she hugged him back with a small blush forming on her cheeks as she hugged her crush. He set her down and she smiled, George looked at the two with a big smirk on his face and he just winked at Hermione who quickly looked away.

"Hermione!" Ron and Harry said, coming to hug their friend.

"We're so glad your back." Harry, Ron, Fred and George said to Hermione and she smiled.

"I'm happy to be back." She said and they just smiled at her and brought her to sit with them.

"Just promise me you will never leave me." Fred said to her.

"Promise. And you'll never leave me?" She asked him and he nodded.

"Never."

"I'll miss you 'Mione." Fred said and hugged Hermione at the train station.

"Yeah, by 'Mione." George said. Hermione smiled one last time to the twins and made her way over to her parents.

"Hermione! You didn't tell me you had a boyfriend! He's really cute though." Hermione's mom said and Hermione went crimson.

"He's not my boyfriend! He's my friend and that's all!"

"'Better be." Her dad said and Hermione smiled and hugged her parents.

"So how did your year go?" Her mum asked.

"Well..." Explaining the events of a school year at Hogwarts to muggles was always going to be difficult.
