Chapter One

KAI'S POV

"There she is." I said, as I pointed out to an unknown girl.

"Who?" Maya asked.

Maya has been my best friend since we were both about three years of age. She's been through everything with me, I honestly don't know where I'd be without her.

"Her, on your right. She's beautiful!" I exclaimed.

"Calm down Kai!" Said Maya, whilst giggling. "Just go and talk to her."

"it's not that easy." I told her.

She looked at me, confused.

"Not that easy? You're Kai Graham for God's sake. You've been with more girls than I can count!" She exclaimed.

"But it's not, she's taken!" I told her, whilst watching the unknown brunette talk to her boyfriend.

"Leave that to me!" she said, as she ran towards the girl.

What was she going to do?

I couldn't hear anything, but I saw Maya slapping the guy and the brunette standing there, shocked.

She came running over.

"NOW'S YOUR CHANCE, GO!" she shouted at me.

MAYA

I saw Kai run towards the girl, as she stood there, gobsmacked. I told her boyfriend, who I had never seen before, that I was pregnant. I rarely do things like this. Kai has always been the loud, popular one. I just sat there and watched.

I don't know why I helped him. All he'd do was screw the poor girl and them dump her like she was worthless.

I saw Kai run towards me. His brunette hair was flapping around in the wind and he had a big smile on his face. His brown eyes shone as he approached me.

"I did it again, I'm meeting her tomorrow night!" he said as he smirked.

"haha, good for you. Where's my thanks?!" I asked him

"I have nothing to give... But this" he said as he pulled me into a deep hug.

This was more than enough. Kai gave the best hugs ever. I first experienced one on the first day we met. It was 14 years ago, on our first day at nursery. I was crying and wanted to go home, so Kai came and comforted me. We've practically been joined at the hip since.

"Come on, I'll drop you off home, it's getting dark and cold. Don't want you to get ill!" Kai said as we walked over to his car.

"I'm home mum!" I shouted as I walked through the front door.

"Alright, dinners on the table." she shouted from upstairs.

I quickly ate and ran upstairs. I showered and changed into pyjama shorts and a loose t-shirt. Just as I was about to jump into bed, my phone started to ring. It was my boyfriend, Nate. I had hoped it was Kai, for some strange and odd reason...

I picked up the phone and put it against my ear.

''Hey'' he said ''We need to talk."

"About what?'' I asked, anxiously.

"Us." He said.
