I woke up the next day and started thinking. man I hate being gay sometimes, I feel like people are judging me because I get like this when I like a person, I sound girly but I fall for people hard. anyway I decide to shake if off and get ready. my room had a personal bathroom in the room so I took a shower. I got out and picked an old shirt from my old school davidson day and basketball shorts. I also snuck into nashs' room and 'borrowed' his axe. it smells ten times better than mine. I also did my hair. Yes I did my hair, I care very deeply about my hair. I flicked it to the side like i always do. I clicked my phone it was 11:30 I said I would meet him at his house at noon. I decided to explore the house. It was really big and extravagant. as I was walking around the first floor I bumped into my grandmother.
"Hayes, honey can I talk to you?"
"Yeah sure."
"I know your going out with Jamie today are you going as friends or is it a date?"
" I don't feel comfortable talking about this but friends why?"
" Because I know he's gay and I don't want any funny business going on. I know your a good boy too hayes." my grandmother said as my face turned red. I'm still getting used to talking to people about being gay.
"Yeah well look at the time it's noon gotta go bye!" I screamed as I ran out and away from the conversation.
"Hey there you are hayes!" Jamie smiled. god he was hot.
" Hey ready to go to the courts?" he said walking to his backyard.
" Yeah where are they?"
"In my backyard." he smiled
"Awe that's so sick man!"
We warmed up on opposite ends and got ready for the game. it was on I was gonna dominate. within the first ten minutes it was 6-3 me winning. We laughed as I ran and blocked his best shot, he was pissed. the game ended after a long game of shots,misses,blocks and laughs.
"Wanna go get some pizza I know a great little place downtown
"Sure!" I said a little too excitedly again.
" So you ready to start school in two days?"
"Not really I'm scared people won't like me as much as my old school, I was popular there."
"You will be fine as long as you stay with me. I got you switched into all my classes so I could help you out. also I um-"
" You what? you can tell me buddy." I assured him
"I really like you hayes." he starred at the ground
My stomach flipped in excitement.
"I..like you t-to." I STUTTERED AGAIN.
His face lit up like a Christmas tree. But then reality set in for him.
"Hayes I really like you but I cant."
"Who says? nobody said you couldn't date me, if they do screw them it's your life do what you want." I said angrily as I walked away. He called my name but I kept walking. I was so pissed at him. but I still wanted him. hayes snap out of it you have only known him for 2 days. I don't know what has gotten into me at all. I shake it off as I enter the house, my phone starts buzzing. it was Ashley calling me, I answered it immediately.
Me: hey ash! how are things in nc?
Ash: boring without you boo.
Me: don't call me boo!"
Ash:I'm sorry I have to! any guys on the horizon?
I went quite as I thought. should I tell her about Jamie? no he's not into me at all it shouldn't
Me: no, no one yet. there is this guy but it's complicated I would rather not talk about it.
Ash: okay I can tell your sad do you want to be alone?
When I didn't answer she got the point and hung up. I felt bad but I'm terrible with feelings. my phone buzzed again it was Jamie.
Jamie<3: hayes I'm sorry I do like you and I want to be with you, but it's so complicated you don't understand. but I want to make it work. your all I ever think about and I know I'm crazy for liking you this earlier, hell we have only known each other for two days but I want to be with you hayes I hope you feel the same way.
IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING?
Me: wow Jamie that was deep and idk if your my type.
Jamie: oh :( I get it
Me: haha no I'm totally kidding I really like you. Um one thing how does one ask another gay out?
Jamie: I think we just agree to date lol do u agree to date me?
Me: I do Jamie I do lol tfios moment my friends made me read it
Jamie: dude it's my favorite book lol Igtg see you tomorrow at school. oh yea it's your first day good luck!
Me: bye.
Crap my first day of school was tomorrow. well I'm dating Jamie maybe that will help. I need to get some sleep or I'll be a zombie tomorrow. I took my pants and shirt off and slept in my boxers like I usually do and drifted into sleep thinking about me and Jamie. I couldn't believe I was dating him he was... perfect.
