You always viewed them as someone in with the "popular" crowd, someone who you'd never talk to or ever be associated with. But since that first sweet meeting, you began to remove the layers of social reputation. To find that, underneath, was a spect...
Side note- Addison isn't that important (sorry Addi) I just thought I would include him. Ebony will become more important (I know this story is becoming stereotypical) and it's set in year 11; so exams, 15/16 year olds etc.
An eruption of laughter spread amongst the class like a Mexican wave as Mac swanned over towards the seat to your left. "Hey" they said awkwardly, looking you up and down with (what you thought was) disgust. They had icy blue eyes and thick dark hair. It tumbled over their strong face and pale skin. They were actually fairly attractive, not that you would ever be attracted to them ...
You exchanged frantic glances with Addison, (see below) your best friend for as long as you could remember. You were both so close, you'd developed a psychic talent and were able to read each other's thoughts through just glances, facial expressions and strange noises. This often made the students and teachers around you uncomfortable and had a strange side affect if confusion as they tried to decipher your hidden language.

'He can't do that to you' Addison mouthed 'Are you going to complain' you shook your head, you were too nervous and didn't like confronting authority. Addison raised his eyebrows so as to say 'You really should!' So you did.
"Sir?" You asked tentatively stuttering, "I,um, feel unease sitting here. Can Mac be moved somewhere else, please?" You trailed off as you spoke.
"Aww look (your name) is so uncomfortable. Too much of a geek to make small talk I suppose!" Ebony scowled mockingly. Ebony was your ex best friend. (See below) You, her and Addi were like the three musketeers though primary school. She was sweet and pretty, with pale green eyes, even paler skin and light blonde hair (and still her parents called her Ebony). But it got to the end of year 7 when everything changed. She got in with the wrong crowd. The 'popular' crowd. The bullying crowd. And had picked you and Addi as her victims for reasons you still did not know.

"If all of you keep this attitude up you won't be in my class much longer, Ebony you don't need to get involved and (yn) you are going to have to get used to Mac. All clear? Ok!" Mr Barn barked at the class, breaking you out of your sentimental daze. Everyone nodded and dropped their heads to focus on work, except Mac, who continued to stare at you. This made you uneasy again, so you picked up your bag and started to rifle through, pretending to look for something. "Can I ask you something?" You jumped at their voice. Why am I so nervous today? You thought. Without waiting for a reply they continued, "What is that a quote from? Is it Panic! ?" A few seconds passed as you tried to register what they said, when you realised they were referring to your bag. (See below)

"Yep, it is, do you listen to them?" You glanced across the room to see Ebony staring is disbelief, you then decided you would prove her wrong. You would make conversation with Mac. "Of course, Brendon's great" Mac smiled at you, they were happy to make you comfortable. "Jackson are you listening!" Mr Barn shouted across the class at another student. Then you noticed Mackenzie had began to hum 'Miss Jackson' and tap the beat quietly on the table. You joined in and somehow you both started singing pretty loudly. When you stopped you noticed Addi glaring over at the two of you. 'What are you doing?' He spoke with his eyes. But, for once you didn't take notice. The rest of the lesson carried on happily chatting about other bands you both liked, hobbies you enjoyed, etc until the bell rang, and you both walked away. You had a lot more in common than you thought. You both secretly didn't want to leave ...
