SUMMARY
Lina Matthews and Sarah Gonzales were the dream team. Lina was the mysterious 'Smoke Master' that watched over the Bronx and Sarah was her sidekick, the 'Hummimgbird.' For years, everything was great until Sarah had had enough of living in Lina's shadow and moves to Washington DC for a change of scenery. While acting as the Hummingbird in DC, she meets the one and only Sam Wilson.
Being a sidekick has never been so good.
NOTES
So basically, Lina and Sarah have been vigilantes together for about five years but they fall out, you can decide over what, and Sarah moves to DC where she meets Sam while trying out being a vigilante on her own. They then form 'the sidekicks club' (which can also include Bucky at some point) and they become vigilantes together.
If you choose to write this to The Winter Soldier then have quite a few au portions to balance it out. You can also change Sarah's superhero name, and remember that she doesn't have powers!!
