Chapter 3: Meet The Band

"We're here." Aleks said, putting the car on park. I nodded and opened the door and closed it, after getting out. Wait, Applebees? Why here? Oh well, I like their food anyways. Why complain? We walked up to the front, Aleks in front of me. We see 4 other boys hanging out, talking to eachother.

All of a sudden Aleks stopped in front of them, causing my to bump into his back. "Oh sorry!" I said, jumbling up my words. He then moved out of my way rather then saying "It's okay". I see the 4 boys staring at me, making me feel uncomfortable. "Is this her?" A boy in glasses asked. Aleks nodded in response and then the boy went back to staring at me. "U-um, my name is Madi." I say under their stare.

"My name's Cj, I play the drums." Another boy looked at me. "Hi, My name is Eddie, but you can call me Sly, and I do the vocals." The boy in glasses grinned towards me. "Hey there, my name is John, and I play the rhythm guitar." The boy to the very right said. "Hey, name's Devin, I play lead guitar." The last unknown boy said.

"Nice to meet you all." I said, smiling towards them. After a few moments Devin spoke out. "You play piano right? I think that's pretty cool." He said casually. "Oh, thanks." I thanked him, even though he still hasn't even heard me play the piano yet. I'm pretty sure everyone just wanted to be nice and not ruin their reputation. But, I couldn't be so sure since I just met them.

After a few minutes we head inside and the waiter went to show us our table. Not much people were here, but it was more peaceful then normal in here. We ended up sitting at a table with 6 chairs, enough for all of us. On one side, I sat in the middle between Aleks, who was to the right, and Eddie who was to the left. On the other side of the table, it was John in the middle, with Cj to the right, and Devin to the left.

A few minutes later after doing some small talk, the waitress came over and asked us what we wanted to eat and drink. Since it was only the afternoon, we decided to eat light, and wait until dinner. Which Eddie suggested on doing, since we can get to know eachother a little bit better. After about 10 to 15 minutes, the waiter came back with a tray of food, and sat all of the food in front of us.

"So, we were wanting you to come back with us and hear you play. Devin has an electronic keyboard from two years ago that you can use. Are you able to play that, if so, will you be willing to play for us?" Cj asked me. "Yes, I can play on the electronic keyboard, and sure. I'm excited to show you guys how hard I work!" I smiled happily. "Nice enthusiasm." Eddie giggled next to me.

"Well, of course! Music is my life. And I would be willing to play with all of you!" I said to Eddie. All of these words were coming out of my mouth. Every word I said was the truth. I was happier then what I expected to be. But, it was a good feeling. After about half an hour, they got somewhat full and decided to head back to their place.

As soon as I knew it, we were getting along very well. Eddie kept making funny jokes, while everyone kept laughing at them, besides Aleks, he only smiled. I was laughing along with everyone and had a great time, it's been awhile since I had real friends, all of my other so called 'Friends', ditched me because I played Piano alot. It didn't really bother me, because Piano was my life. And there was nothing wrong with that.

But since all of these guys are amazing and fun to hang out with, I'm sure it made my life way more enjoyable then it was previously. I hope it continues this way for at least a couple years, or maybe even longer. I can't believe I actually though this idea was bad in the first place. But in the end I turned out to be wrong, and I was once again being my true self around people.
