Walt Disney has theme parks all over world and they invented animatronics.

What happens when an abandoned experimental theme park meets an animatronic?

When preparing to make a Disneyland in Japan, Disney made a fake one to see if it would be popular enough for an actual park to be made.

Called the Nara Dreamland, this fake park was built near Nara, Japan.

There are plenty of similarities between Disneyland and Nara Dreamland. They both have the Sleeping Beauty castle, monorail system, Main Street, similar rides, etc.

They even had animatronics!

Disney discovered that the park was extremely popular, so they built an actual park. That's the Disneyland Japan we have today.

But what happened to Nara Dreamland?

It became abandoned and closed in 2006.

Everything was shut down and put away. Or so Disney thought.

And now presenting our creepy part of this chapter!

Unit 6-22!

An animatronic series was developed for the Nara Dreamland fake park. When Disney shut down all the units Mascot Unit 6-22 (6 is for the guard series of automated mascots), it kind of decided to alter programing. It was about to route battery power through it's arm framework and shock anyone who tried to manually shut it off.

It now walks the lonely vigil, defending the only solar charging station in the abandoned park, preserving its operating life as best it can.

The Japanese military asked Disney if they wanted it to be destroyed. Disney decided not to destroy it, since Unit 6-22 is showing some interesting program adaptation.

Disney really wants to see if it is becoming sentient, or just infected with a virus that makes it fight against deactivation from set protocols.

Either way Disney has a 'killer' animatronic on it's hands.

Let's hope it can't reactivate the other Mascot Units. It tried once before but thankfully Disney stopped it.

THE FACTS: Nara Dreamland is a fake abandoned park that has a Mascot Unit roaming around the park, hiding in buildings, and protecting solar panels.

WHAT I THINK: I think this is all true, from what I've read, seen, and watched this is very much real. I AM NOT 100% sure about Unit 6-22. It seems to good to be true.

SUGGESTION: I don't suggest you travel to Japan to visit Nara Dreamland and U 6-22. As the same with River County and Discovery Island, watch video, analyze pictures, and read about it.
