Chapter 2: Planning

Peeta's POV

The next morning Katniss comes over to help me move in. She quite strong, which kinda scares me. It takes the whole day for me to move in to Katniss's house. While we're eating dinner, we start to plan the wedding. It will next week, Friday the 11th. Once we can barely hold our eyes open, we go to bed. Katniss tells me how Prim would be so excited. " she always loved weddings, and couldn't wait for her own." She said. When she fell asleep, I lied there, thinking how Prim will never walk down the aisle like Katniss will next week. After thinking about that for what seemed to be forever, I finally fell asleep.

The next morning, I go downstairs to see Katniss eating a piece of toast. " Good morning." She said. After I eat a pice of toast with her, I go down to the newly built bakery, where I know work. Katniss tell me she's going hunting while I work. I simply tell her, " Ok, I'll be back around 4:00." It was 1:00 already, I was surprised because I've never slept that long before. I think Katniss saw the look on my face, because she asked if I was ok. I told her, " I'm fine, I've just never slept that long before." Once I'm out of the shower and dressed, I head down to the bakery.

At 4:00 I start walking home. It's a beautiful summer afternoon, so I can imagine Katniss has her game bag full of game. I walk in the door to find Katniss, skinning a deer in the backyard. I find it unpleasant to see, but she does it with no problem. She leaves the deer hanging there by a rope, which is tied to a tree. She walks over to hug me, and I tell her, " I love you, but go take a shower please." We both laugh as we walk inside. She heads upstairs to take a shower, while I cook dinner. We eat, take showers, and get in the bed. She tells me about her day, and I tell her about mine. Thirty minutes later, we're both asleep.
