It happened after Mary and Cathie ate dinner. "Honey, what are you going to wear tomorrow so I could get it ready for you?" Mary had been in a bad mood all day, so she was annoyed by her mother's question. "Mom stop being stupid! I'm going to be 15 and you're over here saying you want to dress me!" Cathie was angered. "Excuse me? You don't talk like that to your mother! I'm not going to dress you, I'm trying to help you get ready!" "I'm just saying I don't need your help! You made a big deal out of it!", Mary yelled. Cathie laughed. "Really? You started it sweatheart." Mary slapped her mother. Cathie looked at her straight in the eyes. The rage was gathering up inside Cathie. "That's what you get retard, you're just my mom, nothing important!" Now the rage was so built up, Cathie couldn't hold it in anymore. "MARY RODRIGUEZ GO TO YOUR ROOM THIS INSTANT YOUNG LADY!" Mary looked at her mother. "If daddy was here right now, I'd be with him, I wish you would be dead instead of him." Cathie watched as Mary went upstairs to her room. "Oh Mary....." The thought of Mary's father flooded the house.
