I am currently sitting on my couch in the middle of watching a great episode of 'The 100' when I hear footsteps approaching outside my house. You might wonder how I can hear something so far away. Well it's simple:

I'm a vampire.

Yep, you heard that right. I am a blood sucking monster that preys on humans. You might think that being a vampire is super cool and hot and stuff, but this is not some cheesy twilight film. This is reality. And in reality, being a vampire sucks. (Pun intended).

Sure it's cool that I'm super strong and have super senses, but those are pretty much the only good things about being a vampire. Everything else that comes with being a vampire, including my need for blood and having to wear shades practically everywhere, makes my life a living hell.

I'm forced to feed off of animals to survive considering I seem to be the only vampire who doesn't enjoy killing and eating my friends. And, as a vampire, drinking animal blood is like the equivalent to a human only eating lettuce their whole life. It tastes disgusting and I'm weaker than normal vampires because of it. But the only positive side is that it helps me control my lust for human blood, which is important considering I go to high school where I am surrounded by humans everyday for 8 hours straight. Wouldn't wanna snap and start feasting on my fellow classmates, now would I?

But anyways, I think the worst thing about being a vampire is that I am pretty much incapable of having a relationship with a human. I mean, I have tried to make it work but when I'm making out with a girl I just have this urge to sink my teeth into her neck. And I risk the chance of exposing myself when my fangs come out. Like, one time I was making out with this chick and my fangs came out while I was kissing her and she got real confused real fast. I had to make up some ridiculous medical condition that supposedly made my teeth sharper than normal. Long story short, I never saw that girl again. She probably thought I was a freak. Although, she wouldn't be that wrong...

Knock, knock.

I snapped my head towards my door and took a whiff of the air. I could recognize that delicious scent anywhere. What the heck was she doing here? Jumping off the couch, I rushed to open the door before she could knock again.

Before I could even process anything, she jumped into my arms and wrapped her legs around my waist. Instinctively, I placed my hands under her thighs to support her weight. I immediately felt dizzy and light headed when I breathed in her incredible scent. I could feel my fangs already starting to form. She was the only girl who could make me want her with just one sniff. Something about her was just almost too irresistible for me to handle.

"C-camila," I stuttered, finding it harder to resist as she snuggled into my neck, "what a-are you doing here?" I asked her, still holding her in my arms.

"Don't tell me you forgot!" She yelled and leaned back to look at me in the eyes, as if she were checking to see if I really had forgotten. "We have to finish our project for English, remember silly?" She reminded me and poked my nose. Her face was only inches away from mine and it took all of my strength not to kiss her perfectly full lips right there.

I shook the thoughts out of my head, "Oh, r-right." I responded. Then, before I could even react, she planted a quick kiss on my cheek and jumped down from my arms. I stood there for a moment, stunned at how soft her kiss was. This girl is gonna be the death of me. I thought to myself as she grabbed my hand and started dragging me to my room.

Once we were inside my room, she let go of my hand and walked over to my desk. I turned around and closed the door as she opened her bag and placed her stuff on the desk. I walked over to my bed, grabbing my backpack on the way and sat down on the edge. I pulled a couple of my English things out and set them next to me on my bed.
