~New Places~

We all get the desire to leave home at least once in our life. It may be brief or may be a longing lasting forever. Why do we get this desire? Is it a yearning for something exciting or different? Craving new experiences or a new challenge perhaps? Reasons are varied and very personal. It pushes people to their limits and gets them out of their comfort zone. Pride and immense satisfaction is what you feel when you have successfully completed your journey, fulfilled a challenge, ticked off of your bucket list. If you do end up traveling, the opportunities and issues that arise will help you know yourself better, give a fresh perspective on what you want in life. The experience will change your life. But how many of us actually get the chance to? And how many of us grabs the moment?
"I think you travel to search and you come back home to find yourself there"

Everyone has a choice. You can choose your own path in life. We are, who we choose to become. These words repeated in Adelyn's head like a mantra. She was unable to concentrate. This is what I chose. This is who I am now. I cannot, I simply cannot go back. She breathed in and out, slowly.

Aeros had left her to her own device. These or not things that can be forced, it comes when it is due, when she is ready, and Adelyn desperately wanted to be ready. She thought about all the things that happened so far, all the sacrifices she had made, and yet to make. The thoughts of what she will have to face frightened her a bit. At times she wanted nothing to do with this, she was getting tired, but then she remembers the people that are depending on her, she can't give up, not yet.

She closed her eyes, taking another deep breath in and out, slowly. She needed to do this. She focused and mustered up all her will power in every fibre of her being. A few seconds of nothing. But she held her ground, she will do it. I will do it. A few more seconds passed. She finally felt a breeze at the back of her head blowing her hair forward and into her face. It got stronger and she opened her eyes to see the once slumped sails catching the wind and rising.

She was encouraged by this, and she focused more forcing the wind to move even faster. She rose her hands towards the sails and ship started to move even faster. She heard a hearty chuckle come from behind her. She looked back to find the Captain, with a bright smile on his face looking very much like someone's grandfather.
"Well done, Princess" he said and she couldn't hold back a smile herself.
"It is not over yet, you have yet to learn how to manipulate air to your wish." She looked towards Aeros as he walked up from the main deck. "We will work on this element for the rest of the week" Adelyn looked up at sky, scowling.

A day's travel. Adelyn, Eren and his aunt were in one carriage and his parents in another. There were three carriages in total including one with just luggage. Adelyn could not think of why they needed a whole carriage just for belongings. It seemed absurd to her

Adelyn was in no mood to talk hence she just stared out the window. Eren was sitting next to Adelyn and his aunt across. The awkward and nervousness that loomed over Eren Adelyn was lifted after the walk and they were more relaxed. It was already certain that no words will be exchanged during the ride.

The aunt looked at Adelyn for the first time since they had been in the carriage, taking in her features. She looked so small and vulnerable to her. She made no effort to speak, but as she stared at her longer, the more it felt like she was familiar. Have I seen her before?

The tension in the small compartment grew as they rode on. The only words spoken were when they hit a bump and Eren hit his head letting out an "oomph" every time. Adelyn found this slightly amusing, and had a hint of a smile on her face. Eren noticed and chuckled sheepishly as he loosed the tie around his neck.
