"Hey, I'm gonna head off to work, okay?" Toby kissed Spencer on the cheek.
She frowned slightly, making him chuckle.
"Don't be sad, I'll be back tonight," he caressed her cheek.
"What am I gonna do without you?" she asked, leaning into his hand.
"I'm sure you've got some friends, right?"
She stared at him before looking down. He frowned slightly before speaking again.
"I'll text you during my lunch break," he winked, making them both smile.
She leaned in and hugged him before pulling back and giving him a passionate kiss.
"I'll see you later," he smiled, pulling away and walking out of the loft.
She walked over to the couch and boredom laid down on it, staring at the ceiling. She was lost in her imaginative thoughts. Finally, she decided she would go out through the town through some stores.
She got dressed in the nicest outfit Toby had bought her earlier, gathered her money and headed out. They didn't have much to eat so she decided to go grocery shopping.
She of course didn't have a car, so she called a taxi. She stared out the window as the driver drove her to the grocery store watching all of the pedestrians walk by. They probably all had normal lives, it was likely that none of them were prostitutes like her.
She sighed as she shifted in her seat. All she wanted was to be normal. But before Toby, prostituting at a damn strip club was her only choice. None of the jobs she applied for took her in, not even fucking McDonalds.
Before she knew it the taxi driver pulled up at the grocery store, so she paid him and went inside.
While in the frozen isle looking for a few microwave meals for that night, someone walked up behind her.
"Spencer?" a familiar voice said.
She turned around to see the British doctor that she hated more than anything. His name was Wren, and before she moved out he was her sister's fiancé. Before he proposed a few months before Spencer moved out, he was her sister's boyfriend since Spencer was just nine. He did some things that Spencer would rather forget.
"Um... Wren, hey," she faked a smile, clutching onto the microwave dinners.
"So, how have you been?" he smiled, getting closer.
"Completely fine, thank you," she said before quickly walking away, avoiding him trying to grab her.
She quickly paid for the food and left, hiding around a corner while waiting for another taxi.

When she got home, she put the meals in the freezer and leaned against the counter. Suddenly, she started to cry. It wasn't a loud, ugly cry. It was a soft, meaningful cry.
She wiped her tears, hoping that wiping them would wipe away the memories. But as she always has said, hope breeds eternal misery.
She heard noises coming from behind her, and she saw the door starting to open. Was it Wren? Had he followed her?
It was Toby.
"Toby!" she cried, running up to him and hugging him tight.
"Whoa, there, Spence. What happened?" he said, pulling back and looking into her red eyes.
"I... um... I missed you," she lied, backing away.
He knew she was lying, but he also knew if something did happen she wasn't ready to talk about it.
He chuckled slightly.
"I love you, Spencer," he kissed her lips softly.
"I love you too," she smiled, pulling away to hug him.
Maybe he would protect her from Wren.
"What do you want to do?" he asked, picking her up and balancing her on his hip like a toddler, making her giggle.
"I want to love you,"
"You do love me, Spence,"
"I want to make love to you," she reworded it, staring into his eyes
"As you wish," he said, putting his lips on hers and carrying her to the bedroom.
He put her on the bed and they hungrily undressed each other, leaving love bites on one another's skin as they went.
All she wanted was to forget, and Toby's love was helping her.
