Some people handle break ups very well, others not so much. Unfortunately for you, you happened to fall under the second category of people. Your idea of handling it was by attempting to get drunk. The alcohol seemed to numb the pain and made it easier to deal with. That is why you found yourself, two weeks after your break up from Aaron, at a bar with one of your closest friends. You had already had four shots, and were on your way to your fifth. Needless to say, you were well on you way to being hammered already, not quite there yet though.

"I think you've had enough to drink. You know alcohol isn't going to solve your problem."

You had been about to pick up your fifth shot when your friend grabbed the glass away from you. Whining, you tried to reach out for it, but before you could, your friend chugged it back. Pouting, you turned to the bar tender to order another one, when your friend cut you off again.

"I mean it. Getting drunk isn't going to help. But you know what will, find someone else. The best way to get over someone is to get under someone. It's a proven method."

You rolled your eyes at your friend, unable to believe what she was suggesting. It had barely been two weeks since you and Aaron had broken up. You couldn't imagine hooking up with someone so soon. In fact, you couldn't imagine hooking up with someone at all. You had loved Aaron for the two years that the two of you had been together and you had thought that he had loved you to. Apparently not.

Thinking back to the last fight you had with him, you couldn't help but wince. Yeah, you had been the one that had suggested breaking up in the first place but you had also expected him to argue and refuse to do so. You had thought that he would have at least fought for your relationship. Instead, he had simply said 'fine' and walked out of your apartment. And to think, all of that for a stupid argument, that you couldn't remember the cause of in the first place.

"I'm not looking to hook up with some random stranger."

Your friend shook her head. "You don't have to hook up with anyone, just talk to them, try to get out there again. Look over there, you see the guy in the brown jacket. He's been eyeing you since we walked into this bar. He's cute. Go talk to him."

Before you could refuse or anything, your friend pushed you in the direction of the other guy, who seeing you walk up to him, smiled your way. Not wanting to be rude, you returned the smile, however, yours was much more hesitant. Your friends words about hooking up with someone being a sure fire way to get over someone were ringing in your head. With her words in mind, you pushed the rest of the way towards the guy that she had pointed out.

"Hi, I'm Trevor."

Introducing yourself, you still felt very awkward. Trevor was cute, but he was no Aaron Ramsey. He had blonde hair to Aaron's brown that you loved running your hands through. His eyes were a nice green color, nothing like Aaron's light brown that always looked at you like you were the center of his world. You knew that you couldn't keep thinking about Aaron, the two of you had broken up for goodness sake, so your forced yourself to focus on the man in front of you.

"Can I buy you another drink?"

At his question, you nodded and when he walked off to get the drinks, you allowed yourself to look around the bar, trying to spot your friend. What you spotted however, was something else entirely.

Standing a few tables away from where you and Trevor had been at the bar was the man that had occupied your thoughts for most of the evening, your ex-boyfriend, Aaron Ramsey. His eyes were locked directly on you. You noticed that he wasn't alone. He was with a few of his Arsenal teammates. However, his attention wasn't on them, it was locked on you.
