"Order number 64!!"

"That's me!" I exclaimed as I rushed to the McDonald's employee holding up my order. I snatched the bag away from her quickly since I couldn't wait any longer to get my hands on my chicken nuggets and said a quick thanks to the employee as I ran away.

"That was fast" said my best friend Emily.

"Well it is called fast food..." I responded, a bit confused on why she was surprised.

"Not the food silly! I mean how fast you ran over there and came back! I've never seen you move that fast Kaitlyn!" Emily answered with a huge grin on her face.

"Haha very funny" I said sarcastically although it is true. I'm known as more lazy type and for sure not that athletic. However don't get me wrong I'm not like super super slow in things such as gym but I would consider myself as average I guess. Emily is the same as me which is why it's always fun to have Gym with her because we can do things at same pace and kind of push each other to work harder... on days that we feel like it of course. We are the type who always say we are going to work out but we always end up watching Netflix and eating ice cream instead.

"Are you ready to go back to school next week?" Emily asked eating her fries and ice cream sundae (which is a really good combination by the way).

"Ughhh don't even remind me" I groaned not even wanting to think about it. I feel like I haven't done anything all summer and couldn't wait to finally get back to a routine but now that it's here I don't want to.

"Yeah me neither. I hope we at least have a lot of classes together."

"Yeah hopefully although we have a pretty good chance since we are taking pretty much all of the same classes"

"That's true. Are you ready to head back?" she questioned.

"Yep." I said grabbing the garbage from my chicken nuggets and fries and throwing it away while heading out towards her car.

We were going over to my house to sleep over probably just to watch movies and try to enjoy the last few days of summer together.
