Something was itching-- no tickling her foot.

Yasmine twitched her left foot away, but then whatever was tickling that foot, went to the right foot.

She yanked her feet away, and her eyes slowly opening, then fluttering open. She was sleeping in her bed, until something had been tickling at her feet. Had she been dreaming of that? Then, the tickling started again. Yasmine shot up, and heard some yelping. She looked down at her feet, and saw a puppy! It was a white Pomeranian! The dog was jumping happily, and barking.

Yasmine picked up the cute little puppy and hugged it tight. She rubbed her nose against the dog's, and then started wondering where it came from. Where DID the puppy come from? She looked around her room, and then noticed the door opening and her father coming in with a grin in his face, and cried, "Surprise!"

"Daddy? What's going on?" Yasmine asked with a confused gaze.

"Even though your birthday's not today, I remembered how you've always wanted a puppy!" Her father smiled, showing most of his wrinkles on his face, showing how old he really was.

Why was her father doing this? Why? She's been begging for a puppy for ages, why now? Then it clicked to her. Her father wanted to make her happy in her last remaining years. That's why he bought Yasmine a puppy. She looked at her father with appreciation. She was going to miss him when she.. leaves this world. Her eyes watered thinking about leaving her caring, sweet father.

"Honey, what's wrong? You don't like the puppy? Do you want a different type of puppy? I thought you said you liked Pomeranian," her father said, worrying he had disappointed her daughter.

"No dad.. Its not that.. I was just thinking.. how I would miss you so much if I died" is what Yasmine wanted to say, but she just said, "No, I'm just so happy to get a puppy, daddy!" Then she hugged her father with all her might, thanking him again and again.

A while later, Yasmine showered, washed up, and ate breakfast. Now she was putting on some ripped skinny jeans, white blouse, and her regular pink converses. She decided to leave her hair down since it wasn't that hot out today. Her bag on her shoulder, she walked to the door.

"Bye dad, I'm leaving for school!" Yasmine yelled as she opened the front door of their house.

"Alright, honey! See you later!" Her dad yelled back from somewhere in the house.

Yasmine was proud of her father. He had told her during breakfast that he had quit the gang, and how the gang actually helped him pull a couple of strings to find a new job.  He was now the CEO of this small company that was controlled by the gang. But, now, since he was the CEO, all decisions made for the company were his.

The bus soon arrived at the empty bus station with only Yasmine in it. She stepped in the bus and sat in a single seat like every other day.

As she sat down, someone behind her said, "Yasmine! Hey!"

Yasmine turned around to find a gorgeous face looking back at her. It was James. Ugh, it was James. She hoped it was Aaron or something. She snapped her head forwards. She really didn't give a dang about James.

But, that didn't stop him. He kept poking at her, trying to get her attention. He had concluded that if Yasmine wouldn't fall for him like any other girl, she must be different. And that intrigued him more. He actually wanted Yasmine.
