The White princess was walking pass the door of her parents' conference room when she heard her mother say, "Emma has to do this David!"

'I have to do what?' Emma thought.

"I know Snow, but can't we hold it for a few months or even a few weeks to give her time to prepare?" The King said defending his gently to his wife.

"She is already considered an old maid as it is! Women especially princesses her age are already married and are preparing or already had their first kid. We're lucky The Gold Kingdom has agreed to this contract and wanted Emma's hand in marriage as an offering instead of money or crops we don't have," Snow spat offended that his husband wasn't automatically agreeing with her decision as Queen.

Emma's eyes began to tear up at her mother's words.

She began praying that her father would go against it. That he would defend her this time instead of succumbing to Snow's manipulative ways. If he fought for her, he would be a real father. She would forgive him for always siding with her mother or making false promises.

'Just fight for me Daddy please. I'll forgive you for the sword fight fiasco, the friends, the dessert, everything! Just fight for me for once in these 21 years...' Emma thought.

The tears prickling her jade eyes threatening to spill over as more time passed and the threatening silence in the hallway and conference room merging as one, mocking Emma as the anticipation for her father's response slowly killed her.

"I guess, Emma will understand our motives and ideas with this engagement. She can possibly grow to love the Prince, and their could be a chance he'll be her true love," David said to Snow.

"I-I guess I'm not worth fighting for," The blonde princess said as she choked back a sob and a tear fell from her eye and created a pathway down her cheek and onto the white tiles of the castle.

Emma's heart broke more and more as she listened to her parents plan for Emma's grand ball/engagement celebration; as well as, how they talked about the upgrades and benefits that could come to the kingdom.

Emma waited and waited for her name to be mentioned in a sentence that didn't resolve around what fabric would look best or how much jewelry she should wear.

She yearned for a sentence with her name in it and how she would feel or if they believed this was the best thing for her heart not the fucking Kingdom or her parents' image of having an old maid for a daughter.

It never came. Her name and those simple words didn't belong together. At least not in her parents' eyes.

She wiped the tears that fell from her jade orbs not wanting to cry over her parents who weren't even her parents at all. They raised her like a king and queen rather than a mom and dad.

Her gaze hardened on the door holding her parents in it. The sparks began to flat on her fingers at the thought of her 'parents' as her anger and hatred for them increased.

Emma quickly closed her eyes, as her infuriation grew, and thought of the small and faded twinkle in brown eyes hidden behind a hood. And a bright smile that seemed almost hesitant to be created by the unknown figure. Then she thought of the elegant pronunciation of "Swan" falling from those lips. That followed the grace that a simple letter was said with "R."

The anger and hatred although still there was simmered down by Emma's happy thoughts. The unnoticed sparks died too.

Emma sent one final glare to the door of the conference room before heading to her own bedroom.

As she approached it she seen the guards posting guard at it.

"My parents request or presence they said it's urgent!" She told them almost gagging at the word parents when describing Snow and David.

The guards hustled to find and attempt to help the king and queen forgetting the unguarded princess which was beneficial to Emma as of right now.

She quickly began to pack a bag full of underclothes, blouses, and trousers but not too much that it'll holds her back as she escapes to freedom.

She quickly notices that she is still wearing a dress causing her to remember her godmother still waiting for her.

It brought her some guilt but not enough to make her cancel her plans.

She changed into a pair of trousers and a shirt not packed with a pair of simple black boots that Snow hated.

Lastly, she put on a black cloak grabbed her bag and climbed out of the window as she descended, Emma almost lost her footing causing some scrapes and bruises on some places uncovered by the cloak.

When she reached the bottom, Emma tightened the cloak around her body allowing her self to blend in with the dark night and slip into the Enchanted Forest going unnoticed by the oblivious and exhausted guards keeping watch in front of the castle.

Ik it sucks lol. Love ya!
