Tony and I were now in Peter's bedroom. I take a seat on Peter's twin sized bed, a bit scared to speak. My eyes dart over to Tony who locks the door behind him and makes his way towards the trash can, spitting out a walnut."A walnut meatloaves go, that wasn't bad." He comments. I playfully roll my eyes at Tony's comment. I look over to Peter and make eye contact with him. He quickly broke it and darted his eyes over to Tony who was now standing next to his desktop. I found myself busy, looking around Peter's room finding it nicely decorated. My focus goes back onto the two boys who stood in front of me talking about what it sounded like, dumpster diving.
"Look, I definitely didn't apply for your grant-"
"Ah-ah!" Tony exclaims, interrupting Peter. "Me first."
Peter nodded his head shyly before going back to being quiet.
"Quick question of the rhetorical variety." Tony states, pulling his phone out of his pocket and flicking it in the air just like he did to show me the video of myself saving a little girl from getting hit by a car. But this time it was the video of the Spider vigilante stopping a man from breaking into a car. The same video that Mj showed me. "This is you, right?"
A small gasp escaped my lips as Tony asked Peter the question. Peter looked over at me nervously, shaking his head.
"Um, no." Peter responded. "What do you mean?"
Tony flipped his phone landscape to show the video of the Spider vigilante stopping a car from running into the side of a bus. My eyes widened at the video then darted over to Peter who looked over at me nervously.
"That is you!" I whisper exclaim pointing at the now finished video.
Peter shook his head, denying that it was him. "That's all on YouTube, though right? That's where you found that?" He asked walking towards his computer desk. "Because you know that's all fake. It's all done on the computer."
I rolled my eyes, knowing that it wasn't fake. As I did, I noticed a little entry for an attic. That's probably where he keeps his suit. I wave my hands, earning Tony's full attention. Soon after, I pointed up at the small entry, mouthing "the suit". Tony looked over at it, nodding his head. I watched as he grabbed a broom, lifting it up which caused the suit to fall out. A small gasps escapes my lips as I watch Peter quickly dart over to it. But before he could reach it, I quickly pointed my hand at it, bringing it over to as quick as I could. As the suit reached the palm of my hand I grab it, standing up in shock.
"I knew it." I gasped looking at the suit that was in my hands.
Peter rushed over to me, ripping the suit of of my hands and throwing it into the closet. As the suit was thrown into the closet, Peter looked over at me in shock. "You're Shadow Phoenix?"
I nod my head, finally knowing who the Spider vigilante was. Now that I did, some of the hate for him was disappearing.
"You're the Spider-ling." Tony comments, giving Peter a serious look. "Crime-fighting spider. You're Spider-Boy?"
Peter let out a breath, finally giving up. "Spider-Man." He corrected him.
"Awe." I quietly squeal to myself at the cuteness of his hero name. "That's cute."
